5.00Steph was such a friendly and knowledgeable guide - she shared tons of history and pointed out plants and wildlife along the way, usually with a wonderful story to go with it. The hike was challenging and it started to rain, making everything a little slippery. Steph knew every outcropping and was able to guide us up, pointing out the best hand holds and steps along the way. As a result, we had zero problems and really enjoyed ourselves despite the rain. I would highly recommend Steph.
An amazing adventurous climb at Table Mountain

5.002 days into our tour of Cape Town and we looked at doing a hike up Table Mountain. If anyone has ever done scrambling you know it's a fantastic form of climbing up steep face kind of like rock climbing without the need for getting too technical with ropes. I myself had never done it but Bill our guide spent a few moments making sure we where competent to make the climb then we where off. The hike was tough so a medium level of fitness is required but not as much as to a need for major Cardio fitness. Mike our Guide has been doing this for years and we was incredibly personable and a fantastic guide to boot. He took very good care of our safety, he's a major asset to the company. If you ever think about doing something with a real sense of adventure don't miss using these guys, they rock and I'll never forgot the incredible adventure I had with them climbing table mountain..

5.00We had the pleasure of sharing some of our Christmas Day with Mike who led us on the India Venster route up Table Mountain. We were nervous but Riaan's prior guidance and reassurance ensured we knew we were in safe hands. We had clear communication beforehand and we soon became confident with Mike's support to get us to the top. Doing this route is a must do for anyone who has a sense of adventure and is very rewarding. I wouldn't recommend doing it without a guide. We learned so much from Mike and felt completely safe with him. We also hiked up Lions Head at Sunset with Ian who again was a pleasure to be with - professional but friendly and reassuring. Again, a guide is recommended especially when returning in the dark and on the busy narrow paths. We highly recommend Riaan Vorster and his team enough.

5.00What an incredible hike with breathtaking views! Our guide, Mike, was outstanding—his knowledge and experience made the entire journey enjoyable and reassuring. Even though we had limited scrambling experience, we felt safe and confident throughout the hike thanks to his guidance. Despite how intimidating some YouTube videos make it seem, the trail itself isn’t scary—just confusing, with many spots where it’s easy to take a wrong turn. If you’re not fully confident navigating the route, going with a local guide like Mike or someone familiar with the trail is highly recommended. We had an amazing experience and would absolutely do it again

5.00Our guide was delightful, learning all about the flora and fauna while hiking and scrambling this moderately challenging route. Highly recommend this hike, above average fitness and no fear of heights is required 😊

5.00We did the the India Venster route w/Johan this morning. We were a bit grumpy about the early pick up (5:15am) but Riaan convinced u it was worth it to beat the heat and be out early with no crowds. He also asked us to rate out fitness out of 10 (we said 7-8) and tolerance with height and exposure. He suggested the India Venster route and we ageed w/o much understanding. It was AMAZING. Some relatively challenging scrambling that “got my attention” but made it all the more rewarding. Johan our guide on the day was very helpful and full of useful facts etc. Strongly recommend. You could do the route w/o a guide if you are fit and confident but w/o guide we would in all likelihood have ended up on the much busier, much easier route which would not have been as rewarding or unique.

5.00I hiked up India Venster with my wife and two teenage sons as part of a small group led by the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Riaan Vorster. The boys had originally wanted to go without a guide but even they agreed that having one made the experience that much better, learning about the nature and history of the mountain. A fantastic hike and very professional guide that I would recommend to anyone interested in a safe and enjoyable hike up a challenging route up one of the world’s iconic mountains.
Riaan is the best guide ever!

5.00We were three women who set out to hike Table Mountain and had the most marvelous experience! The trail was more challenging than we imagined, but our guide, Mike, made all the difference. He was patient, encouraging, and so attentive to our comfort and safety every step of the way. Mike’s calm guidance and deep knowledge of the mountain gave us the confidence to keep going — and reaching the top felt like such an amazing accomplishment! We can’t say enough wonderful things about him. If you’re considering hiking Table Mountain, ask for Mike — he’s truly the best!

5.00My wife and I climbed Table Mountain with Riaan Tours, taking the India Venster route and being guided by Stephanie. We cannot recommend her highly enough — she was absolutely top-level. It was an excellent, moderately difficult adventure, as described in the programme, and we received great assistance and guidance. As we are both interested in photography, we made some special requests, all of which were accommodated. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in climbing Table Mountain.
