The Indian River, Cold Soufrière, and Fort Shirley tour is unique because it combines a serene, mystical mangrove river cruise with Dominica's unique cold geothermal features and a significant historical site. Visitors experience a magical journey on the Indian River, see the distinct "cold" volcanic phenomena at the geothermal site, and explore the historically rich Fort Shirley in Cabrits National Park.
An Air conditioned van and experienced guide to all the sites. Most times this tour is private or small groups only.

5.00We had a lovely day exploring the north part of the island. Learned about the history of the island with a nice tour of fort Shirley. Kenny our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and make the experience enjoyable. Highlight included a boat ride down the Indian River with our guide Rosco who made the trip fun!!

5.00So educational, so interesting, so adventurous, and so well executed. Leonard who grew up on the island is a Tamara steward of this islands and this tour operator.

5.00Wow- is all we can say. The trip started out with a fantastic history of beautiful Dominica. So much rich history accompanied by a beautiful back drop of the ocean and sea that meets a beautiful landscape of mountains. We had such a great time on this tour. We had enough time to really learn about the people, about the culture, the mountains, and beaches. Then we got to the River and it was simply amazing. Roscoe was very informative and had great energy. The scenery is top tier- AND The rum bar!!! Lunch was wonderful, and Fort Shirley was amazing. Lennard was the best tour guide we have ever had. He was kind, funny, informative and so helpful with answering all of our questions. I’m overall impressed with how much time he took to allow us to explore this beautiful place. If you view this tour and have any questions as to whether to book it, don’t delay, DO IT! I promise you won’t regret it. 5 stars across the board. Thank you to Lennard for his energy. You made this trip for us!!

5.00Wow, it was such a great trip. History, culture, nature... Our guide, Lennard showed us kind of everything and explained us so many things. The ride to the places was also fantastic, he showed us national music and things besides the road. It was a pleasure to meet him :)

5.00Our guide Leonard is a walking encyclopedia about the trees & fruits of Dominica and shared them with our group as we drove to the northern part of the island. 3 separate experiences, Cold Soufriere volcano hike was great. Ft. Shirley historically informative, Indian river boat trip relaxing end to the day, seeing many birds, including the native parrot was a highlight! Leonard is a true “native” himself whose love & understanding of his island helped make it a great day!

5.00Excellent day out, and with no-one else on the tour, we had our guide, Lennard, all to ourselves. A font of all knowledge on Dominica and we learnt so much about the different trees, fruits, history, economic development, etc along the way. Started with Cold Soufriere with its gas bubbles, then Fort Shirley and lunch, before finishing off with a cruise up the Indian River in the capable hands of Rosko. Covered a lot of ground in the day. Recommended.
Lennart was a very very nice guy and he tells a lot about the places and the Island! We had a great day!!!
