Indy Walking Tours is a guided 90 minute comprehensive walking tour through the city streets of Indianapolis.
Our easy stroll through the city streets of Indianapolis will cover the:
Indiana War Memorial Historic District, Mass Ave, the Wholesale District, City Market, the Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument and various interesting points in between.
In addition to learning about the rich history of Indianapolis, you'll also hear a story of local true crime, funny anecdotes, little known folklore, the inspirations and meanings behind historical statues, architecture and monuments, and more.
Be sure to wear comfy walking shoes as our walk will cover 1.5 miles.
This is the most comprehensive and interesting tour in Indy and a fun activity for all ages.
If you are planning for a large group or just looking for more booking options please contact us.
Min requirement of 4 people for all tours. If 4 people are not booked within 24 hours of your tour, you will receive a refund.

We will stop at many sights on the circle.
Indianapolis City Market
About halfway through the tour, we will take a short break at Indy City Market where you can use the restroom and grab and drink or snack. Because Indianapolis is an open container city, you will be permitted to order a beer at Tomlinson Taproom and take it with you on the rest of our journey.

5.00First off, Rob was awesome! This was our first time visiting Indianapolis and we scheduled this tour to get acquainted with the city. We walked away with so much more! Rob was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and thoughtful of his guests. The sports and folklore stories were fascinating. He offered suggestions of other places in the city to visit and welcomed us to message him for anything we may have forgotten from the tour. I would highly recommend this tour!

Being relatively new to Indy, my husband and I (and one of my galfriends) enjoyed everything about the tour. Rob also gave us good recommendations for nearby restaurants and museum tours. A++

5.00Rob was a great tour guide. We love the fact that he walked backwards so we could hear him as we’re walking down the streets of Indy. He is very knowledgeable has a great sense of humor and even my 20-year-old son was engaged the whole time. We would definitely recommend Rob and his tour to, anyone visiting Indy. This is something great for a family to do that doesn’t involve seeing a sports team or alcohol and you get to learn a little little bit about Indy history definitely a bonus ! Rob has great recommendations of restaurants and other activities to do while in Indy. He is definitely a wealth of information. Jamie and family
