The Inspirational Women of Liverpool's Past & Present walking tour is part of Liverpool Famous Walking Tours limited edition series.

Taking in many of Liverpool’s iconic sites along with locations often missed and overlooked, on this walking tour you will hear about the inspiring women who have had an influence on the history, heritage and culture of not just Liverpool, but the UK and beyond.

Liverpool Cathedral

Here you will see one of the final works by one of the most famous female sculptures of the modern era. You will have a tour of the Lady Chapel and with its famous stained-glass windows this will set the scene for learning about some amazing women, depicted in the windows that have had a long-lasting influence Liverpool’s history and development. Admission to the Cathedral by donation is included in the ticket price.

I absolutely loved this tour! Pam was a fantastic guide as she was not only incredibly knowledgeable but presented the information in such an engaging way and made way for such great conversation! Had an amazing time on the Inspirational Women walking tour with our guide Pam. From start to finish she was lovely, friendly and extremely informative. Pam was very engaging and even though we are local to the area, she shown us so many places and gave us so much information we were not aware of. She ensured the whole group were included throughout and made everyone feel so comfortable. She truly was exceptional! Would not hesitate to recommend the tour- and Pam- to anyone. Thank you!

Would highly recommend this tour. A fascinating walk telling the story of the role women have played in the history of liverpool right up to modern times. It highlights how the role of women is too often airbrushed out of history.

It was a very apt day to do this tour on International Women's Day. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour, Pam was so friendly and interesting and I learnt so much about many brave, strong and intelligent women. Without them, we would not have the lives we have today. Thank you to Pam for her fountain of knowledge and the lovely group of women also added to the enjoyment.

I was looking forward to this walk with my sister. The reality was even better! Pam was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, engaged and interactive. We started in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Lady Chapel with some beautiful stained glass windows dedicated to inspirational women from history (I was pleased to see Julina of Norwich represented). The tour went on to explain the lives and motivations of several philanthropic and outstanding women who shaped our city. This is a tour I would 100% recommend to my friends. Pam deserves a mention as an inspirational woman of the present. She obviously is passionate about her job, and inspired me to learn more about these women, especially Kitty Wilkinson and Josephine Butler.
