We joined the family tour at the National Print Museum and it was truly fantastic. There are simply no words to describe how outstanding our guide was — fun, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, all while keeping everything perfectly accessible for children. The tour was ideal for younger visitors because it alternated short educational moments with hands‑on activities, including printing a personalised poster with each child’s name. This balance made the experience genuinely enjoyable even for the little ones. The museum itself is small, but full of fascinating details and hidden gems, and it absolutely deserves a visit. Although we didn’t try it ourselves, we noticed a very charming little café on site.

I had a wonderful visit to the National Print Museum with my teenage daughter. The guide, Ann, was friendly and full of information. We got to try our hand at printing and using the perforating machine. Addictive. Unfortunately we didn't have time to sample the cafe, but picked up some lovely, unusual presents in the gift shop. A hidden gem in Dublin. Recommend booking the guided tour.

What a fantastic tour. Our guide, Anne, was so informative and enthusiastic and she made the tour for me and a group of friends. We even had s go at some printing while we were there. I'd highly recommend the guided tour

The guided tour was really informative and enjoyable, highly recommend! Our tour guide, Ciarán, was very entertaining and knowledgeable. My favourite part was hearing how many common phrases originated from printing (like ‘mind your p’s and q’s’) and getting to use a printing press myself. Also the cafe was lovely!

Fantastic tour with Ciaran as our guide. It was very informative but his jokes & songs kept it light enough for the kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed the hands on elements. A lovely afternoon ☺️

A fantastic experience in Dublin for lovers of literature, Irish history, the written word, politics and hands on activities! In a time when AI and social media have made us forget the humanity in the written word, this lovely museum reminds us of how ingenuity, hard and physical and politically essential the written word is! Fantastic, fun, hands on, get ink on your hands while trying out making a print of your own. A natural sister experience to the Book of Kells and Trinity Library. A special shout out to the lovely Jacinda who made the words jump off the page!

My museum experience and tour with Cieran was simply the highlight of my visit in Dublin! The staff is all welcoming and friendly, and the museum is thoughtfully laid out with video demonstrations of the different presses. For €6, I got a hands on demonstration and tour with Cieran, who was knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. It’s clear that the staff is passionate of their work and love spreading this art form. 11/10 can’t recommend enough!
