Off the Beaten Path: Puerto Rico Hiking Adventure Tour
Spend the day exploring some of Puerto Rico’s hidden gems—majestic waterfalls, impressive native trees, panoramic mountain views, rich coffee, and authentic countryside food.
- Venture into the Central Mountain Range of Puerto Rico.
- Explore a private nature reserve in small groups (8 to 9 participants max) for an intimate experience.
- Discover hidden waterfalls, including a breathtaking 150-foot cascade.
- Take a refreshing dip in a natural pool while enjoying freshly cut tropical fruits prepared just for you.
- Savor traditional Puerto Rican countryside dishes (affordable, not included in the tour price) with spectacular views of the mountains.
Important: This tour is designed for physically fit participants. The hike is moderate with some challenging sections, including steep trails and river crossings. If you are above or below our suggested age range, please contact us before booking.

Good traction shoes, Examples: Keen, Five Ten, La Sportiva. If you don’t have any of these options Good Sneakers (Nike, Reebok, Asics, Addidas, etc.)
Change of clothes and a towel. Camera, Small Backpack and Waterproof Camera (if possible).
Wear bathing suit or bring along. in case you want to dive in one the natural ponds.
Have good endurance, balance and coordination. Hiking Level (Off The Beaten Path) - Moderate to Challenging with some steep hiking and river trekking sections - Suitable for all Physically Fit People. (((Please be advised, most participants, that doesn’t fall into this category, usually cannot keep up the required pace, cope with the sustained hiking on steep terrain, and regularly do not complete the adventure. This usually slows everyone down and can result in a safety hazard.)))
If concern by mosquitos, it is recommended you wear and extra layer under your shirt and pants. Example: long sleeve dry fit tee and compression cool dry sports tights pants base layer. Another option would be Hiking Pants or Bug Repellent
Pick up at 7:00 am return at 4:00 to 5:00 pm approximately (subject to the number of participants on the tour, weather, traffic and participants' skill level)
Sleep and eat well so you can be sharp for a Good Hiking/Trekking Day. (Disclaimer: if by any reason we think you’re a not well rested and this could compromise the safety of the tour you might no be allowed to participate in the adventure)

Choose your favorite style: latte, cappuccino, macchiato, or straight-up black (available for purchase). Each cup is a taste of Puerto Rico’s rich coffee heritage. This cozy stop also features a clean restroom (“baño”), quick snacks or light breakfast, and a relaxed artisan café vibe—the perfect fuel before your adventure begins. 5.00This is a perfect full day hiking trip into the beautiful interior of Puerto Rico. Our guide, Andre, was knowledgeable, fun and has a true passion for his homeland - which made the experience special. The hike was not easy but well worth the exertion with the views (3 waterfalls!), fresh clean air and the waterside fruit treat! Absolutely perfect! Anytime I am in San Juan I will take this excursion again. Thanks, Andre :-)

5.00After a full week of exploring Puerto Rico, my group agrees that this excursion was the best part. André takes you on a hike to some of the prettiest spots in the mountains of Puerto Rico. This is perfect for an active group that loves the outdoors and wants to explore parts of PR that aren't overrun with tourists. From swimming at the base of numerous waterfalls, challenging ourselves with a true hike, stunning views of the mountain range, and all the delicious food stops before, during, and after, this made for a perfect day in the mountains with friends. Don't even get me started on the coffee, what a great and necessary addition to the trip. You can tell from the attention to detail and all the work he's put into this hike, that he truly cares about creating an experience for others to enjoy. We could not have asked for a better guide, his instruction and positivity throughout the day made it impossible to not have the time of our lives. I genuinely cannot recommend this excursion into the mountains more. 10/10, 5 stars, and another huge thank you to André for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and for sharing this place with us.

5.00Andre’s tour is a great way to hike in the rainforest without the usual overcrowded experiences. The land is private and you can really see the effort he’s put in to creating the trails and awesome stops with multiple waterfalls. The coffee/breakfast, lunch and fruits under the waterfall were a great touch and we really appreciated this being a more personal, small group tour with a guide that really cares vs the larger group rinse and repeat tours. Highly recommend this experience!! It's a bargain for the price and nice way to get out of the city without needing a car.

5.00I feel so lucky to have found the perfect tour guide for this experience with my son! The description and information provided before booking left me feeling completely prepared and comfortable when we started. You definitely have to be fit and agile to do this do read his description! Upon meeting Andre I just knew from his energy and personality that we were going to have the best day. We first stopped at this little coffee shop and tried the best coffee! Then he takes you through the trail and after stopped for a delicious authentic lunch that was only $8! He is super experienced and knowledgeable, from skill level, to knowing about every inch of the trail! From where to put your foot on every rock to wildlife and plants. What I loved the most is the unique and secluded part of the forest we were in. It was absolutely stunning. There weren’t other groups or tour guides around us at all. This was the most private and one of a kind trails we have been on. I trusted his advice completely and was so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone! You get a little of everything from climbing over rocks, waterfalls, and using this amazing installed rope to guide you on a steep section. When we got to the biggest waterfall, he personally cut up the freshest and most delicious mango’s and pineapples I have ever tasted. Throughout the whole trip, he is constantly taking pictures and videos for you and most of them were on his phone! He later sent them all to me and I must say I was so happy with the outcome! Andre has personally built out this trail with your experience in mind. He never rushed any part of the day. This was so special for me and I hope he knows what a positive impact he has made for this forever memory. This guy is absolutely amazing all the way around. Just a pure good soul! If you want a REAL experience, this is 100% the one!

5.00My dad and I went on the most amazing tour today with André! If you’re looking for a hiking adventure in Puerto Rico look no further! If I could give this tour a hundred stars I would!! André is an amazing and knowledgeable guide. He is incredibly friendly and caring! You can tell that he truly loves giving tours and getting to know everyone on his tours. If you have any questions about anything he is more than happy to help whether it be with music suggestions or tips about Puerto Rico. A lot of hardworking went into making the hiking tour and there are beautiful flowers throughout as well as amazing views! Giovanny, the second tour guide, was also amazing and great to talk with! He is a wealth of knowledge about tourism in PR. Not only was the tour itself great but it was also a good team building experience as even if you went alone you were sure to make friends along the way and become a little family by the end. ❤️And the lunch and coffee spots that we stopped at were fantastic! Be sure to book this tour when you go to Puerto Rico!! 🇵🇷🇵🇷🫶🫶

5.00This tour was truly amazing. I’ve done other tours & they don’t come close to this one. If you’re looking to see the true beauty and nature of the place this if for you. We also were not surrounded by other tour groups which was nicr. Andre was amazing, you can see his passion and care for the space. He was also super attentive to each participant. Highly recommended, you won’t regret it!

5.00This hike with Andre was absolutely fantastic! We covered about 3–4 miles through the mountains, surrounded by lush greenery and splendid waterfalls. There’s even an option to take a dip in the natural pools — highly recommend it to cool off! Andre keeps his groups small, which makes for great conversations and a more personal experience. His love for Puerto Rico truly shines through in the way he talks about the island, the environment, and its natural beauty. You can tell he genuinely cares about preserving it. We started the morning at a local coffee shop (amazing coffee!) and ended with a home-style lunch — grandma’s cooking at its best. Andre even had pop-up changing tents available so we could freshen up before lunch, which was such a thoughtful touch. His instructions before the hike were detailed, but only to make sure everyone was well-prepared. The trail itself was fun, moderately challenging for my fitness level, and absolutely exhilarating. If you’re looking for a hike that’s equal parts adventure, culture, and connection — you’ll have a blast with Andre!

5.00“I've been on hundreds of tours/excursions of all types and this has probably been my all time favorite, ever. I worked in the travel space for many years, with responsibility for booking travel experiences for college groups. So I'm mindful of things like ability to accommodate diverse needs and personalities, safety precautions, etc. André, and the experience he cultivates, is just 10/10 perfection. Of course, being in an idyllic location with stunning 360 views at all times doesn't hurt. But I can't say enough about how dedicated André is to ensuring everyone has an incredible time. It's not an easy hike but the positive vibes and beautiful setting make it a challenge that physically fit individuals can't feel anything but grateful to experience. I was also pleasantly surprised by both breakfast and lunch - the beauty of the locations, the quality of the food, and the extremely reasonable pricing. Going on this trip was one of the most memorable experiences l've ever had. TY André!”
