5.00The firefly tour was an amazing experience. Seeing so many fireflies lighting up the forest at night felt almost magical. The guide was friendly and explained a lot about the local nature. Highly recommended if you visit Ishigaki or Iriomote!

5.00I joined the Iriomote firefly tour and it was truly magical. Walking through the dark jungle at night, suddenly seeing hundreds of fireflies glowing all around us — it’s the kind of moment that’s hard to put into words. The atmosphere was completely otherworldly, like stepping into a fairy tale. Our guide was excellent — knowledgeable about the local ecosystem and made sure we could spot as many fireflies as possible while being respectful of the natural environment. It felt really special to experience something so rare. Honestly one of the most memorable experiences of my entire trip to Okinawa. If you get the chance to do this tour, don’t hesitate — it’s unlike anything else in Ishigaki or Iriomote. Absolutely worth it

5.00I participated in the Yaeyama Firefly tour with IRIOMOTE ADVENTURE PiPi, and it was the absolute highlight of my trip. Since these fireflies only appear for a short window from March to May, I wasn't sure what to expect, but the experience exceeded all my expectations. Our guide was professional and shared fascinating insights about the island’s ecosystem. After a short walk into the jungle as dusk fell, we reached a spot where thousands of tiny lights started flickering right above the ground. It looked like a "carpet of light" or a forest version of the Milky Way. I really appreciated that the tour focused on quietly observing the fireflies to protect their habitat. It was so peaceful to just stand there and be surrounded by nature's light show without any distractions. If you are visiting Iriomote during the spring, this tour is an absolute must!
