5.00We had a wonderful time with Makoto on our tour! I’d recommend this tour to everyone. She tailored it to our interests and we go to see some beautiful and interesting places, shop a little, and enjoy tasty snacks around the island. Best of all, it was like being shown around by a friend. We really enjoyed chatting with her as we traveled to our destinations. I wish we had more time on Ishigaki so we could go snorkeling there too! This was the highlight of our Okinawa trip.

5.00Taran was a very good and accommodating guide. Experienced lots of nice places on Ishigaki and saw a lot of things. He went over and about for our tour and made my birthday extra special! Even managed to take some photographs of us that made very nice memories. Many thanks Taran. Would love to return some day and willbe sure to pass on your details to any friends that come your way. Highly recommend.

5.00Taran and Makoto provided an amazing experience! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and tailor the tour to meet your needs. We went to the limestone cave, Yaima Village, various observation spots around the island, secluded beaches, tried local drinks and snacks, all while they capture stunning photos to document your trip. They provide such an authentic experience, you feel like you’ve seen the real Ishigaki, and you leave with memories to last a lifetime. Doing a tour with them is an absolute must! 10/10.

5.00From start to finish, this was a perfect day. Our guide took us to the island’s headline sights and a string of amazing sites and hidden gems we’d never have found on our own—quiet lookouts with no tour buses, a tucked-away beach with water like glass, and a tiny family-run spot for the best bakery with a view I have ever seen. Every stop felt thoughtful and special. The incredible personalisation of the tour stood out. Before we even set off, our guide asked about our interests and built the day around them—mixing scenery, culture, and food at exactly the right pace. When the weather shifted, they seamlessly tweaked the route so we always had the best views and experience. They even took amazing candid photos at a truly professional quality that gave us memories we will never forget. Most of all, the incredible personality and fun of the tour guide made the experience unforgettable. It felt like we were on a day trip with a friend we knew for years, warm, funny, and full of great stories. If you want a day that blends Ishigaki’s must-sees with authentic, off-the-beaten-path moments, delivered with heart and humour, book this tour!

5.00We visited Ishigaki as a cruise stop. Rather than taking a cruise excursion, we decided to book a private tour for our visit, and it was incredible!! In addition, we saw way more than we would have with the cruise excursions, and we spent considerably less money. Teran and Makoto were fantastic!! Once we booked our trip, we were contacted by them to arrange our day. We made some slight changes to their recommended itinerary, and it went off without a hitch. We were picked up at port (very easy) and headed out for our day. Ishigaki is an incredibly beautiful island!! Teran and Makoto took us to all the main touristy spots, in addition to many that were “off the beaten path.” We would have never seen these gems without their expertise. In addition to their expertise, Teran is a professional photographer. He took a lot of pictures during our day and then sent us copies of his photos. His photos were included in the cost of the tour; it really is an amazing value! Teran and Makoto are wonderful people, and we had many wonderful discussions during our day together. They make a fantastic team - it is like getting a two for one deal for the day! I give them my highest recommendation!! Spend the day with them, or more if you can, they really are fantastic! Taran and Makoto, thank you for creating so many wonderful memories during our day with you!!

5.00I had an incredible experience doing a private half-day, land-based tour in Ishigaki with Taran. From the moment I was picked up at the airport, everything was seamless and enjoyable. As a solo female traveler, I immediately felt comfortable and at ease—Taran was kind, respectful, and really made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. I hadn’t done much research beforehand, so I let Taran choose the sites—and he absolutely nailed it. We visited some of the most beautiful and scenic spots on the island, most of which I likely wouldn’t have found on my own. He also took amazing photos throughout the day, which made for such wonderful memories to take home. If you’re visiting Ishigaki—especially if you’re traveling solo or prefer an English-speaking guide—I couldn’t recommend this tour more. It was the perfect mix of exploration, comfort, and stunning natural beauty. I loved every second!
