  We had an amazing time on catamaran 12 with Sebastian as our tour guide today. We enjoyed snorkeling and took advantage of the swimming spots on Isla Mujeres that Sebastian told us about. This is actually more of a full day trip if your hotel is in Riviera Maya because it’s about an hour from the pier. The snorkel spots were great. Amazing staff and crew. Highly recommend for kids and adults.

• Out $200. Misleading Communication of Pickup Time!

  Out over $200! The excursion company Cancun Adventures did not send me a pickup time just a start time with my hotel as the pickup place. Finally I called them around 1:30 and they said the pickup time was 1:15 and we missed the trip, they would not give us the address because they said we were too late. After I finally found an address online, it turns out it was only a 34 minute drive. We could have easily made it!!! Supposedly there was an email that I never saw and they said it was on Viators website. I went online and drilled down into the 6 pages of paperwork. The pickup time was listed in small type inside a lengthy paragraph about half way down the page! Crazy pitiful communication when they had my phone and WhatsApp number. All they garcia do was text or call. We were waiting. Lesson learned. It may cost a little more to book tours through the hotel concierge desk, but they are much more diligent with communication. I've booked a few things through Viator. There is always some issue and undisclosed fees once we arrive at the venue. Finally we agreed to take a much shorter night tour that according to our hotel was about $200 cheaper than the one we originally booked.

• NOT Luxury. More of a “college party, booze focused, tourist trap” vibe.

  This was our first Cancún adventure. We’ve been on an adventure by the same name in Puerto Vallarta through “Vallarta Adventures”, but this was nothing like that. On that tour, there were less people, amazing guacamole and fruit to start, then snorkeling, then a private island with all inclusive drinks and prepared food, free lounge beds to relax, then drinks and a charcuterie board on way back. This was 48 people, loud music, and suggested heavy drinking. The food was cold sandwiches and apples. Note we toured on a Sunday. Before being docked to the island, we anchored close to the north side to allow people to jump off the boat and drink in the water. This was a 20 minute stop. While here we saw the shores crowded by chairs and umbrellas and lots of people. Guide told everyone about the south side and some statue we should visit. We didn’t go but found out through others you needed to pay to see that too. We were brought to Isla Mujeres to be left to do what we please for 3 hours. Just as other comments say, you’re brought into a tourist trap of people approaching you to sell their crap. The tour guide brought us all to the tequila tasting, which I read to not stay for it due to the heavy pressuring into buy overpriced bottles. The amount of people on this island along the beach was insane. Nothing on the island is complementary, including a place to sit and rest. We ended up finding a restaurant along the beach that had two lounge chairs and an umbrella that we paid $35 USD to “rent for the day”. Their menu prices for basic food was crazy, so we just had soda and lemonade. It felt like forever waiting for the 3 hours to be able to get back on the boat. During our trip back, they slowly cruise back blasting music and passing out more drinks. The person taking pictures throughout the boat ride then comes around to show you the many pics they took of you on their iPad, then tells you how much they are - heard them charge $50 (we knew to say no to pictures right away because we weren’t interested). They then come around with tequila shots and explain the crew lives off tips. They provided pick up and drop off to your resort, just know the driver also wants a tip and there is no/low AC in the van with 12 passengers. Overall, would not recommend because I feel mislead with the title of “luxury” when not a single thing about this was luxury. It was more of a drinking party with cheap booze and food, and constant blaring music. 0 relaxation. The host Pedro, and the rest of the crew were nice.

  Not quite the experience I was looking for. Service on the boat was top notch. Friendly and attentive staff lots of drinks and big sandwiches. The disappointing part was the QUICK 20 minute snorkeling session and then 20 minute swim session after that you are dropped at isla mujeres for THREE hours. It’s basically a tourist trap of an area. Crappy beach and $30 if you want a chair to sit on. I was looking for more of a party fun boat experience and this wasn’t it. Should have read the description better and that’s on me. Everything else was bop notch though including transportation pick up and drop off.

  Between my friends and I, we have been on several of these types of sailing adventures, and this one was quite disappointing. The gourmet lunch was cold sandwiches and apples. On all the others, we had great food. We spent a lot of time at the island where it just seemed they dropped us off to be sold stuff. There definitely has to be better options out there.

  It was a great experience!! The crew was amazing! They kept the boat live with music and kept the drinks flowing! 10/10!!

  My driver who picked me up for the excursion “Oscar” took a picture of my ID card which was alarming. When I asked him to delete it and instead verify my ticket, Oscar refused. The boat ride to and from the island was amazing. The island was full of hustler’s begging for my service to buy something. Walking through a gauntlet of people who did not except the words “no thank you” was daunting. Returning to the hotel Oscar doubled down and had an attitude and again refused to delete the photo of my ID card. Later on that night I received an email and text of a security alert. Could be a coincidence, but I don’t know. *This is a security alert from Facebook.* We think that someone may have accessed your Facebook account, so we've locked it to protect you. This means that no one can log in or view your Facebook profile. So that we can guide you through what to do next, open Facebook, ideally on the device that you'd normally use.

• 130 euro just for a catamaran A/R

  Due to the bad weather the snorkeling game was cancelled without notice - we find out when they pick you up from the hotel. Frankly 130 euros just for the catamaran ride is really excessive. On arrival on the island you have 3 hours... you have to manage.. no help... good in short... not really to recommend

  It was a great experience, we really enjoyed the snorkeling and the crew was very attentive. We had the VIP boat and there were about 60 of us which is half capacity, so everyone fit nicely and there was space to walk around. They served cold sandwiches for lunch after the snorkel, and then we headed to Playa Norte for a 20 minute swim time before having about 3 hours on the island.
