Numerous uninhabited islands dot the waters around Wrightsville Beach, and during this 2-hour adventure cruise, you can explore at least one of them. Start at Money Island, where notorious pirate Captain Kidd is said to have buried his treasure and home to the area’s largest sand dune—perfect for sliding down—then cruise toward Masonboro Island, the longest undisturbed barrier island ecosystem in southern North Carolina. If time allows, hop off and traverse from marsh to oceanside in search of giant sea shells. On your return to the docks, keep an eye out for dolphins and other marine life.

Great experience. Kids loved it. The 2nd island makes it worth the trip. Found some really big and unique shells. Loved the beach side.

Fantastic time out in the water with Amy and the Captain. They were both very friendly, informative, hospitable with offering beverages and we felt very relaxed with them taking the helm! Highly recommend!

Great experience and staff. The kids found seashells and swam in the shallow waters. Walked to the ocean side of masonboro island and saw a shark swimming.

It was a great experience with kind, knowledgeable crew. I do wish there was more time on Masonboro Island, but I wouldn’t have known how great it was without first going on this excursion! We’ll just have to book a longer experience at Masonboro next time! Also good to know: this is a BYOB friendly excursion.
