We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside.
After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
Minimum age to travel is 5 years old.
Eilean Donan Castle can be subject to closures for private events. If so, additional time will be allocated elsewhere and the castle will be a photo stop.

5.00Even with the rain and clouds, the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle tour from Inverness was amazing. The moody weather made the scenery even more dramatic. Our guide, Emma, was fantastic — knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole day so enjoyable. A memorable experience rain or shine!

5.00Torquil was awesome! Super knowledgeable—clearly a local—and kept things fun with just the right mix of history and humor. The stops were well-timed, so the 12-hour tour never dragged. I loved that he explained his choices (like pulling over for traffic at the Quiraing), which showed how thoughtful and experienced he is. Safe driver, knew tons of other guides, and made the whole day fly by. Highly recommend!

5.00Donnie was such a great tour guide, storyteller, and DJ. Would not have changed a single thing. Scotland is beautiful and this is a perfect way to see how spectacular it really is! Lots of hidden gems to see, don't think about it, just book it!
