We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally).
After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5.
Eilean Donan Castle can be subject to closures for private events. If so, additional time will be allocated elsewhere and the castle will be a photo stop.

Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.

5.00Me and my partner had the most amazing day trip exploring the Isle of Skye and many wonderful other places and a big part of what made it so special was our driver and guide, Emily. From the beginning until the end she was absolutely wonderful, friendly, funny and full of great stories and local knowledge. She made everyone feel comfortable and made sure we didn’t miss any of the best viewpoints or hidden gems along the way. I would recommend this trip to everyone and if you are lucky enough to get Emily as your driver, you are in for a fantastic experience!

5.00It was great day with very funny and knowledgable guide Emily. There was enough breaks . Breath taking landscapes. It was stunning. Very recommendable trip, make sure to book the day with Emily. It was very pleasant group tour. I recommend for everyone , might not be suitable for small kids as it is long route and steppy lands. Make sure to have an umbrella ! LOL

5.00Perfect trip! Great seating in bus and comfortable ride with Emily. Great stories along the way and beautiful sights even on dreary rainy days. I really enjoyed the whole experience and loved that this was an option for someone traveling alone with no car and limited public transportation in the area! As I biologist I loved the nature stories that Emily brought

5.00This tour was amazing! Perfect time management by our driver Emily who was incredibly informative, super entertaining and like family. We travel and tour extensively and this one was perfect. Music on the bus was also well thought out and just the right volume to round out our Scottish experience. Would recommend her and this tour highly!
