Once we pick them up at your accommodation we go to the Carara National Park, once there we stay for 3 or 4 hours making observation and photography of birds on very easily accessible trails that will provide us with a good number of species between about 20 to 40 in one Good morning having the opportunity to observe Macaws, Toucans, Motmots, Manaking and many more

We spent the first morning of the year with Sergio and we are not disappointed!! A 5 star guide and serious again +++++!! He is a valuable guide. He shares his passion, his knowledge, his funny anecdotes. It is completely present and available to our requests and questions. He took us to a few different places including a specific one to see up close the photogenic red macaws. We were near the Tarcoles River, stopped at a small farm on the way and it was at Carara National Park that we filled our bird list.between 30 and 40 species. Magnificent birds like the toucan, the red macaw, several woodpeckers, including the light-billed woodpecker that I wanted to meet so much❤️, a woodpecker with red wings also very pretty, trogons aurora, Ariadne of sophia, hummingbird of Elicia, the menu viron, green kingfisher, Amazon has golden neck, wren and warblers, vultures and more. Not to mention the impressive lizards and the group of howler monkeys who joined our hike. Thank you Sergio for all these colors and this privileged moment. Tobi and Melanie.

This was a one-of-a-kind experience. Sergio took us to places where only a local guide would know to see the most beautiful macaws among one many birds during our personal tour. It was so worth it.

46 species logged in this birding tour. Sergio was fantastic at spottin, and identifying different species. We saw all but 1 heron that's in Costa Rica 12 species that were ranked as either infrequent or unreported in the area in the ebird app. It was a great moring. I recommend this tour.

⸻ We had a wonderful time on this bird watching tour with Sergio! He was very knowledgeable and clearly knew where to find all the best spots. We even saw toucans up close, which was amazing! The whole experience was calm, pleasant, and perfect for anyone who wants to appreciate nature without rushing. He also helped us get great photos. Highly recommend!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Sergio, he is an expert in his craft. He took us all throughout the jaco and surrounding areas to find all sorts of birds. He had so much knowledge of each species and knew exactly where to find them. Not only did he have a great amount of knowledge of birds but all flora and fauna in the local area. We’re looking forward to coming back and taking another tour with him, we saw so many birds but also other wildlife. This is a tour we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you Sergio.

Sergio's knowledge not just about birds but all nature was outstanding. The photos were amazing with the help of Sergio, we saw so many species of bird & was definitely my best experience of Costa Rica. It's a must do if your visiting the Jaco area

We had a great birding trip in a couple different habitat types. Sergio was fabulous and guided in a way that was appropriate to the level of interest & skill in our group. It was fun to talk birds and I would happily hire Sergio again. It's obvious that Sergio knows & loves birds!

Sergio was amazing. Knowledgeable about all animals and plant life. Due to it being private we were able to be patient and see more than the large tour groups. Highly recommend!

Sergio took us to three locations in a three hour tour - shoreline, a fishing village and a national park (jungle) - and he found beautiful species wherever we went, almost 30 in all. His ability to spot birds, monkeys and even a bat is so impressive. His knowledge of ecology extends beyond bird watching, his English is excellent, and his client focus impeccable. The experience overall was like exploring bird habitat with a good (very knowledgeable) friend. I highly recommend Sergio’s private tours. You have his full attention, you can hear everything that he says and there’s no waiting while everybody in the group gets to see what he is pointing out.
