Saryeoni Forest Path

Saryeoni Forest Path is a forest walking trail that starts from Bijarim-ro and goes through Mulchat Oreum Volcanic Cone and Saryeoni Oreum Volcanic Cone. Its starting point is located at National Road No. 1112, which is thick with cedars. A variety of species of trees grow in the forest, such as Konara Oak, Red-Leaved Hornbeam, Snowbell, Hinoki Cypress, and cedar. The average altitude is 550m.

Seongeup Folk Village

Seongeup Folk Village is a small town that holds a vast amount of culture over a wide period of time from 1410 to 1914. Cultural properties in the folk village have been handed down from generation to generation and include treasures such as residential houses, Confucian shrines and schools, ancient government offices, stone statues, large millstones (pulled by horses or ox), fortress ruins, and stone monuments. Among the cultural gems of the folk village are intangible cultural assets such as folk plays, native foods, local folk craftsmanship, and local dialect. Even the trees are an important part of the area’s heritage. Several zelkova and nettle trees that are hundreds of years old stand at the center of the village, preserving the dignified atmosphere of a bygone era. The Seongeup Folk Village shows the unique culture of Jeju Island. The local tongsi (traditional Jeju restroom) are especially well-known characteristics of Jeju folk culture.

The guide made us wait an hour and 45 minutes to see the divers. He suggested that we go shopping which we had no interest in doing. We did have lunch which took 20 minutes. That left us an hour and 25 minutes to do nothing.

We are in Jeju for 3 days and the oppa driver was very friendly and helpful. He is the one who helps us plan for itenery and suggest places for us to visit when there are extra time. He will suggest different cuisine for us to try out hence our meals are never repeated 👍🏻 thank you for the wonderful suggestions. He is not just punctual but early all the time and super patient, much appreciate such professionalism. We would love to come back again 🥰

Chenoppa driver's guide is very good, very easy to communicate - he gets us every day very on time, sometimes we go far, we will also take the car around the past to pick us up👍🏻 There is a time we have no idea which restaurant to eat, Chenoppa will also recommend to us, and it is delicious! Our dedicated driver is Mr. Oppa Chen Chang. We're all in Jiangsu for the first time, and Uncle is always careful to help us arrange or rationalize our trip (e.g. on the third day, it will be dark and the temperature will drop, we will delay the shopping trip ahead of time; knowing that we are from Hong Kong, we will be worried we are not used to the relatively cold weather). Even when we're off work, we'll be worried that we're having trouble getting Uber back to Airbnb, and want to communicate with the vendors at the place to eat first. There is a sense of being loved by the elderly, is a detailed arrangement under mutual respect.

During this journey, we were impressed by the expertise and enthusiasm of Park's guide. He not only detailed the historical background of each attraction, but also was able to respond flexibly to emergencies, making our trips smooth and enjoyable. Wow, this tour is something we will cherish for the rest of our life. Our tour guide was Mickey. He was so much fun! And he has a great Kpop singing voice! He was knowledgable, helpful, and a great photographer for our photos. We learned so much about Jeju Island's history. He prepared so well for our tour and showed us helpful videos about each landmark we were seeing. It made us appreciate everything we saw and the importance of these places. Our favorite was seeing the female divers. Mickey was an encyclopedia of amazing and we couldn't be more grateful. Everything we saw was so picture-esque and beautiful. Thank you Mickey!
