We had an amazing time. My wife and I were the solo passengers that day and Ben made it awesome. We traveled quite a ways up river with beautiful views of the mountains and then took an hour or so walk in the forest. Ben's knowledge of the plants and trees probably made it that much more enjoyable for us as we are gardeners at home.

What an amazing experience! The jetboat ride across the river was spectacular, with lots of speed, spins and a super friendly captain who gave interesting info about the area along the way. He also sailed the boat to shallow areas where we could see the trout swimming. After that, the wilderness walk was a nice, quiet counterpart: a piece of nature that you don't usually go to quickly. Everything was top organized and felt professional and safe. A perfect mix of adrenaline and nature – definitely recommended when you are in Wanaka!

Fantastic trip with great knowledge from Ben the driver about local fauna and flora. Highly recommend if you aren't into the thrills of jet boating as this jet boat is more about the journey. Suggest good waterproof clothing as it can get a few splashes.

The Wanaka Jetboat ride and Wilderness walk was an exceptional way to experience the vast and pristine space that is the Mount Aspiring National Park and the Matukituki River. Our guide and boat driver, Ben, shared his passion for the river, mountains, fauna and flora of such a remarkable location. Fronting the business end of things, Sue managed our booking on the day so we did not miss out on our adventure. When other tour companies would have transferred our booking to another day, Sue, Ben and the team made it possible for us, the only two people booked on the tour, to experience the magic of this amazing location. We recommend Wanaka River Journeys absolutely. What an amazing experience!

A great afternoon. Awesome scenery. Our guide was lovely and knew lots about the history of the area. His knowledge of the local flora and fauna was excellent.
