Marlborough’s wines are treasures that have only come to light in a relatively short space of time. Jimmy has worked in the Marlborough wine industry for 20 years in a variety of roles including work in viticulture,cellar, sales and as a wine tutor. He loves the region and has a strong knowledge of all aspects of the business. Through industry contacts he is able to help you look behind the label and discover the delights of this beautiful wine region.

5.00Wow - what can I say, Jimmy was so engaging, knowledgeable and just a joy to be around! Being in the wine industry, I struggle to find a wine tour that finds just the right balance between knowledge of the wine region and just being pleasant and fun. Jimmy covers it all! His selection of wineries, based on our tastes, was excellent (You know which was our favorite Jimmy!). What a lovely afternoon we spent together - hope to do it again in the future! Thank you Jimmy for a memorable afternoon!

5.00Fantastic tour with a fantastic driver - Jimmy went above and beyond for us and we had a fantastic day. Great wines and a very knowledgeable guide for the region. Pricing was also fantastic compared to competitors so if you're looking for a good value private tour - don't look past Jimmy!

5.00My husband and I had a fantastic day with Jimmy. We were staying in Picton and he very graciously came here to get us! He was a great host, telling us about the area and the wine history of Marlborough. As mentioned in other reviews, everyone at the wineries knew Jimmy, so it felt like we were getting a personal touch. I think our favorite winery was Clos Henri-we lucked out with timing and were the only ones there during our tasting, the wines were delicious, and the setting just so picturesque. We had lunch at Wairau River's number 11 restaurant which was fantastic, with beautiful views. We bought at least one bottle from each winery. Highly recommended, spend the bit of extra cash and ditch the group vans and bikes :)

5.00We had the most amazing day on Jimmy’s tour. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Jimmy was very knowledgeable and we went to some amazing wineries not to mention lunch at one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Thoroughly recommend doing this tour.

5.00My wife & I spent a marvellous day touring Marlborough vineyards with Jimmy. While I'm no wine expert, I have been a massive fan of Marlborough wines for many years and was really looking forward to visiting their home. As I already knew a bit about wine making in the area and had enjoyed wines from many of the vineyards, I wanted a tour that would be tailored to my tastes, and a guide with real knowledge of the local industry who would help me learn more about wine-making in the area. Jimmy fitted the bill perfectly. Even before the tour he was very helpful as we exchanged emails about where to visit, and NZ wines in general. On the day he selected a great range of vineyards to visit, helping me find some new ones I hadn't come across. Jimmy was great company and very easy to get on with. His deep knowledge of Marlborough winemaking and it's history really came across as he escorted us round. All in all I would unreservedly recommend Jimmy.

5.00The Marlborough full-day wine tour with Jimmy was absolutely fantastic! He is an excellent guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about wine. He made sure everyone had a great time and shared fascinating insights about the region and the wines. I particularly enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc, which was outstanding! The whole experience was well-organized, fun, and relaxing. Thank you, Jimmy, for an unforgettable day! Highly recommended!

5.00Absolutely excellent wine tour. Jimmy is so friendly and knowledgeable. What a great guide and a great guy. I felt like we could have spent a whole other day talking to each other and we were lucky enough to meet his lovely wife at one of the wineries. Whole heartedly recommend this tour, you absolutely cannot go wrong.

5.00I booked Jimmy’s wine tour about a year out per excellent reviews and I am so glad I did. My husband and I had a truly memorable tour during our first time in New Zealand! Jimmy brought along his lovely wife for the tour as part of training and we were so glad he did. I think it really made the tour even more special as both of them shared their knowledge of wines and the area. We visited three different wineries and everybody knew Jimmy; we felt like VIPs and in very good hands. We learned so much from Jimmy and even tasted different grapes from the vines that he recommended. The highlight of our tour was Cloudy Bay and Jimmy was kind enough to drive us back to the winery at the end of our tour so we could buy a few more bottles of wine. Both Jimmy and his wife were engaging and interested in getting to know us. We also really enjoyed asking them so many questions and they were happy to answer them all. We did not want to say goodbye. I highly recommend this tour and will book Jimmy again if we find ourselves back in the Marlborough region.
