Compared to other sections of the Great Wall, Jinshanling has fewer tourists, offering a more tranquil exploration experience. However, hiking the Great Wall requires a certain level of physical fitness; please assess your physical condition in advance to ensure a comfortable journey.
We offer two tour packages, both including round-trip transportation from your downtown Beijing hotel and Jinshanling Great Wall entrance tickets. Please select the package that suits your needs when making a reservation: - Package 1: Transportation + Entrance Ticket (self-guided tour) - Package 2: Professional Guide + Transportation + Entrance Ticket (guided tour)
3. It should be noted that local villagers may follow tourists to sell souvenirs during your visit to Jinshanling Great Wall. We have reported this issue to the local scenic spot management multiple times, but it has not yet been fully resolved. Your dedicated driver or guide will pick you up directly from your downtown Beijing hotel, then set off for Jinshanling Great Wall—a scenic 2.5-hour drive away. Upon arrival, your driver or guide will take care of all ticket arrangements, so you can skip the hassle and dive straight into your adventure. If you opt for the driver-only service, you’ll enjoy full self-guided freedom on a flexible 4-hour hiking route: choose to explore round-trip from the main gate, or take the more scenic one-way trail that starts at the main gate and exits through the East Gate. For those who select the guide package, your professional local guide will join you every step of the way, leading you up the wall’s ramparts while sharing vivid historical tales and uncovering hidden, picture-perfect vantage points tailored for stunning photos. 5.00We had a great tour with Edward, he told us lots of intresting things about the history of the wall and answered all of our questions. The van ride up was very swift and comfortable. Edward was very accomadating and not intrusive. Lunch was very good.

5.00We experienced this trip with guide Edward and driver LiQingshan. They were both very nice and friendly. This was our most beautiful walk ever. Great part of the wall with almost no tourists. It was sometimes tough climbing and going down but it was all worth it. Definitely recommend this trip.

5.00The private tour we had was verry good, the tourguid Eduard was verry friendly and told us a lot about the great wall. The driver mr. Sun was verry good he drove us verry safe from and to Beijing. This is sertenly a 5 star tour.

5.00It’s quite a drive… about 2,5 hours outside Beijing (mainly because of Beijing traffic), but it’s well worth it. Beautiful and quiet piece of the Wall. Tony, the guide was very informative and Zhang, the driver did an amazing job getting us safely through the crazy Beijing traffic. Highly recommended!

5.00Private tour today with Jay to the beautiful Jinshanling section of the Wall. Cannot recommend this trip enough - Jay communicated with all arrangements before the trip and everything went really smoothly. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the Wall and all other questions we asked him relating to our trip to Beijing. He was incredibly helpful and supportive as I had an injured knee. Authentic lunch was excellent. All in all the best day of our visit to Beijing.
Recommend! Ask for Huang as your guide!

5.00Our guide Huang was simply the best. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Chinese history. His energy and smile are what made our experience really enjoyable. The hike was not too difficult, although i recommend bringing hiking shoes. Food was genuine and local.

5.00It was a perfect afternoon spent at Jinshanling. The agency perfectly organized everything and tried to fulfill every wish I had. My tour guide for the day was Miko and he was a very friendly person and made me me enjoy the trip even more. Miko followed my fast hiking perfectly. I had to catch my train back to were I stayed, so we needed to watch the schedule. Totally recommend Miko and the tour agency!

5.00We booked a trip to Beijing during Thanksgiving and decided to book a tour to the Great Wall. I'm so very happy we went through this company! Our driver and tour guide were prompt and on time. I would definitely ask for Linda to be your guide as she was wonderful! Extremely knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. This part of the wall is far less crowded and although a bit more than the regular section, trust me, this is the section you want to see!
