The Bike Tour of the JK Memorial and Praça dos Cristais will take the tourist to ride in the Civic-Administrative Zone of the capital. The JK Memorial is an important work designed by Oscar Niemeyer and houses a museum and a burial chamber where the remains of Juscelino Kubitschek, former president of Brazil and founder of the city of Brasília, are located. It's a great place to learn the history of Kubitschek and our capital. By bike we cover circuits impossible for other vehicles and the perspective of the city is completely different.
Attention: although our bike tours are eminently urban, we enter one or another building and on Mondays some of the buildings we visit are not open to the public. They are closed for cleaning and maintenance. It is the case of the JK Memorial

5.00We did this as a double, combined with the Fatima district tour (2 x 3 hours). Both together, or either individually, are superb and highly recommended. Mauricio our guide really added to our enjoyment of the JK memorial & the Indigenous People’s monument with his additional background knowledge and we cycled on to see areas of the city we would definitely not have seen without him. Cycling in Brasilia is a pleasure - it is flat and leafy with many cycle lanes and the tour was at a gentle pace with regular stops. Highly recommended. Tip: if it is no longer available to book on line it is worth contacting Camelo Bike Tours directly - we missed the on-line booking window but went into their shop which is next to the Melia 21 hotel and were able to book.
