5.00We flew in the night before and were looking for something to show us Johannesburg, without much effort on our part, as we were jet lagged and leaving for Kruger the next morning. This was perfect. Our guide, Banele, was upbeat and told us that he would show us “the good, the bad and the ugly”, straight out of a favorite movie. The trip to the “shanty” part of Soweto was incredible and Banele put us at ease about visiting a family’s home there. It was very moving. The only regret is that we wanted more time at the Apartheid Museum.

My wife Patricia and I learned so much, and we truly appreciated the care and effort he put into sharing these stories with depth and respect. Thank you for such an awesome experience—this was a true highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

5.00Thabiso was an excellent tour guide! He knew a lot about the history and culture of Johannesburg and Soweto! He answered all of our questions and did not shy away from some of the questions that we asked about life in South Africa in general. We really enjoyed being able to visit a local area in Soweto where the community was taking care of each other! We felt safe throughout the tour and would suggest Thabiso to anyone looking for a great guided tour of Johannesburg and Soweto!
