Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct
Visit the Constitution Hill which was built as a prison and today is home to the Highest Court in South Africa it tells the story of our journey to democracy.
We then drive through Bramfontein and Newtown talking about life in city and some interesting architectural buildings.

5.00Lebo was an amazing tour guide! We booked a half day tour and he arrived a couple of minutes early and greeted us promptly. His knowledge of Johannesburg and areas was incredible. He explained things so our kids would understand. Vehicle was clean and very comfortable and we could even charge our cell phones while driving. If you are looking for a great tour I highly recommend them and ask for Lebo.

5.00Thabang led us on an enlightening tour of the Soweto townships, capped with a visit to the Apartheid Museum. Thabang is an engaging guide, speaking candidly about living in Soweto. Both Soweto and the Museum can be confronting (and rightly so), Thabang provided context and reassurance. If you want to learn about modern Johannesburg, we recommend this tour.

What stood out most for us was how accommodating he was to us as a couple traveling with a baby—ensuring we could enjoy the tour at a relaxed pace while still covering so much. 5.00Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We went through some rough parts of town but he made us feel as safe as possible. Unfortunately Constitution Hill was closed to tourists, that day so we were unable to view it. We would take another tour and highly recommend Tsalanang Tours.

5.00Thabang Molefe was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. There wasn’t a question we asked about contemporary life in and history of Johannesburg that he couldn’t answer with depth and context. He was warm, witty and his obvious love for the area shone through. He made us feel very comfortable and cared for. If I ever visit Johannesburg again, I wouldn’t hesitate to take a tour with Thabang again.
