We depart at 9:00 am,this tour offers a great opportunity to our travelers to explore our city,township and apartheid museum in one day,its a fully day tour with a experienced guide,the tour include a lunch stop (Guest own expense)water and entrance fees.we visit Johannesburg in the morning our first stop is the home of Nelson Mandela in Houghton estate,where he retired from then we go to the constitutional hill,the home of our constitutional court of SA,then straight Mandela bridge,which links braamfontein and new-town,we proceed to chancellors house,the only law firm during apartheid owned by Mandela and O R tambo and we finish with Carlton center,the tallest building in Africa. We continue to Soweto which is 17km south west of Johannesburg,the tour of Soweto includes the visit to Hector Peterson,Mandela house,Regina mundi,kliptown informal settlements and freedom square,Lunch stop in one of the local restaurants and finish our at Apartheid museum drop off at 17h00

5.00I have been lucky to go on many tours and our guide, Pastor, was the best of the best. Though we only in Pretoria for a short time, he successfully gave us a comprehensive history of South Africa.

5.00We selected a Tours by Locals tour and learned a great deal about the apartheid struggles. From Lilies Leaf Farm to the Top of Africa we were provided with a well rounded history along with the future opportunities and struggles. The Soweto visit was as good as it gets as we explored a number of historical locations, never felt uneasy and had an excellent lunch near Mandela's home..

5.00Had a great time doing the full day tour with Pastor. He was really informative on the history of SA and had some interesting facts throughout the tour. Lunch by the Soweto towers was included in the price as well. Many thanks.

5.00This is a good tour to do to better understand the history of apartheid and how life around and since then has changed. Our guide (Norman) was on time; in fact a bit early and ready for us. The Apartheid Museum is a chilling, emotional and confronting reminder of what can happen if a few tyrants get control of a government and equally, what impact a few smart, respectful and committed people can make. Some of the exhibit content is hard to read and watch. The tour around Soweto (South West Township) is a real eye opener to the size and population and the evolution of the township since 1994. Definitely worth visiting. Have lunch there if it suits your schedule. Our guide, Norman gave some great explanations of how the situation emerged and then degraded into what it became. He is very knowledgeable on a number of topics around the city and its people. He's also nice to spend time with. I'd recommend this tour to everyone.
