It is a magical place that should be visited, especially by those who know and read Saramago. A pity that they do not allow the visit to be done in a more peaceful way in order to Be able to admire everything the house has to offer.

The House deserves just a visit, for what it contains and represents for universal literature. The museum house staff is very friendly and familiar with the place.

I felt conned. The friendly zero guide, I was surprised as we already had many guided tours of the island and in all the guide was very pleasant. They sell you a guided tour but it is actually an audio tour. The guide accompanies you and tells you which button you have to press in each room, ah yes! it tells you two sentences in each room that in my opinion tell it or not varies nothing... yes, the mobile does not leave it for a moment while you are listening to the audio guide :( It's an excuse to tell you it's partly guided. The library that's the best, doesn't explain anything, just the audio guide. For me, you could make more use of it, because it's the best part of the house.
