As the Jungfraujoch is covered in snow all year round, we recommend bringing a warm jacket, shoes with a solid rubber sole and sun glasses to experience all indoor and outdoor attractions. Please note that there is no possibility to rent clothes or shoes on top of the Jungfraujoch.
Routing and means of transport may have to be amended during maintenance work and depending on seasonal schedules without prior notice. A minimum stay of 2 hours on the top of Jungfraujoch is always guaranteed.
Recommendations by Jungfrau Railways to enjoy the stay at high altitude: 1) You should be physically fit and healthy. 2) Good footwear is important for getting around safely. 3) Not recommended for pregnant women from the 7th month or with high-risk pregnancies, and for children under 2 years due to difficulties equalising pressure and insufficient fluid intake.

5.00I had a great time with this activity. I read hundreds of reviews and travelguides about this activity before booking. I chose this tour as it seemed reliable and had the desired amount of time at each of the stops. It is a full day trip from Zurich, with a meeting at the central bus station at around 7:40 am. The tour operator was easy to find at the bus station, the check in procedure was easy and the bus to Interlaken was nice and comfortable. The guide, Annette, delivered interesting facts along the way in a pleasant voice with good energy. The trip from Interlaken continues with a cable car and train ride to the top of Jungfraujoch. Annette and her co-guide were easy to follow, carrying little flags that were easy to spot. The two guides paid a lot of attention to the location of the group members, frequently re-counting to make sure everyone was present. I never felt lost or rushed. There were several solo travelers as well as several families, young couples and retirees and conversation was easy and pleasant. The elevation at the top of Jungfraujoch is significant, and you will feel it. However it was not enough to make the activity unpleasant. There are medical staff present and easily identifiable just in case. The weather was beautiful but cold. It is nice that there are plenty of warm places to observe the scenery from inside the observatory and cafe. If you dont want to spend much time outside it is kind of fun to go to the Lindt chocolate shop, look at high end watches for sale and go through the tunnels to look at the ice sculptures. You can get a coffee and light meal at the cafe. The instructions for the activity tell you to wear clothing - especially shoes - appropriate for snow. I spent too much time worrying about this. It is not necessary to go outside at the top, but if you do, any warm shoes with non-slip soles will work. There is no snow to trek through - the part of the glacier that you walk on is groomed, cordoned and well-packed. There is a fun flagpole at the summit with a Swiss flag that people line up to take pictures with. It was nice that the return train and bus trip to Zurich follows a different route so that you see new scenery. The Swiss countryside is charming to look at.

4.00A lot if travel time but beautiful views when you’re not going through a tunnel. Beware at the top and keep your things close at all times, my wallet was taken out if my backpack and all my money and credit card was taken then my wallet was thrown in front of me on some stairs! The bus driver was great and our guide Yancy was was wonderful ❤️

5.00I took my 84 year old father on this trip. It was a very busy group and day but my dad, whilst exhausted my the end of the day, thoroughly enjoyed the day.
