After a detailed safety briefing, you’ll sit in your kayak, helmet and lights on, paddle in hand—ready to enter the exciting Blue Hole cave system. Paddle through gently moving waters as rivers disappear into the underworld, guided only by your headlamp. Navigate around stalagmites rising from the river and stalactites looming above. Pass by underground seasonal waterfalls, and explore the dry Crystal Cathedral Chamber with its gigantic formations, ancient artifacts, and ashes—a spiritual center for the ancient Maya thousands of years ago.
