Great experience, loved that we spent enough time at each stop. The boat ride on the Yellow River was wonderful

Viator sent me the wrong pick up information and refused to refund even though we wasted the day waiting for the tour, they should be ashamed of their poor service.

We travelled from Darwin city at the end of March. The journey was an eight hour round trip including stops, which was a bit punishing but the lunch was good. Our driver/guide (Prem) was very helpful and informative, but a near constant three hour commentary on the outward journey was a bit too much. Sometimes less is more. You definitely need to check what time of year you go. We thought that in March it was the end of summer in Australia, which it is, but it is also the wet season in the Northern Territory. That means the crocodiles are far less visible at this time of year. There are thousands of crocodiles in the park, but on our trip but we only saw one!

I don’t want to be negative and discourage ppl from doing Kakadu from Darwin as a day trip, but it’s very long day. As someone else said little add ons, drop off workers pick up workers and ppl that do flights are picked up from airport all adds up in time. I Personally think it’s best put over 2-3 days. It was 41* that day so maybe I didn’t appreciate the yellow water cruise as much as I could of. The busy walk to the aboriginal rock art was very enjoyable. The bus driver/guide was very knowledgeable and organised. Lunch was also included and fine.
