Here's an honest appraisal for the tour, so no-one is disappointed: ✘ Unsuitable for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or halal diets as the tastings would be very limited. ✔ Gluten and lactose intolerance, mild peanut allergies, and no seafood diets are possible though some tastings do not have alternatives available and the menu would be more limited.

 Start with simple staples like mandazi and sweet cookies paired with spiced chai, before heading into Bugolobi Market for street favourites such as the Rolex and sambuzas. 

Along the way, you’ll explore matoke, a key part of Ugandan cooking, prepared in different ways with greens, beans, and groundnut sauce. The tour continues at a local grill for charcoal-cooked chicken, followed by richer dishes like smoked fish in peanut sauce served with traditional sides. You’ll finish with a sit-down meal including goat dry fry, cassava, greens, and hibiscus juice.
