Explore Kampot countryside with a visit to La Plantation, the region’s most famous pepper farm. Guests will enjoy a free self-guided visit (approx. 15 minutes) to explore the farm independently.
Alternatively, a visit to a local pepper farm such as Botree Farm may be offered, including a free tour and tasting for a more authentic experience.
We spend around 2 hours at the farm. Guests will have free time to relax at the café/restaurant area (not included) while waiting for the group.
The tour also includes a visit to the salt fields (seasonal) and a scenic stop at Brateak Krola Lake, a site with historical significance from the Khmer Rouge period.
Please note: only one pepper farm is visited per tour.

Salt Fields
Salt is another of Kampot’s important products. Ocean water is pumped into the pans from canals, then allowed to evaporate, leaving a thick layer of salt coating the ground. Workers rake the salt carefully into piles, collecting and moving it to storage. The salt field only operate in the dry season.
Brateak Krola Lake
it's not actually secret lake at all infact is a dame. a dame we built by slaves labor during khmer rude. impressive size is the man-made. A large lake, way outside of town, mostly unpopulated, with a dirt road around the lake.

5.00Lovely day out to salt marshes and pepper farm. Our guide spoke excellent English and answered all our many questions about the salt marshes. After we went to a local pepper farm, Bo farm and were shown around. We were told all about how the pepper is grown and harvested. We got to taste all the different types of kampot peppers. Enjoyed some pepper beer at the farm shop. Unfortunately had run out of pepper ice cream. Took approximately 4 hours.

5.00I really enjoyed the experience. The guide, Romly, explained everything very well and was always very helpful, attentive to details, and constantly made sure I was comfortable. The tour itself is interesting, with special emphasis on the church inside the cave and, of course, the pepper plantation. I highly recommend it.

5.00Relax half day tour with the tuk tuk driver cum Tourguide Phalla. Phalla is a skillful driver and good English speaking guide who is very helpful and friendly. It is comfortable to have hom accompany esp as a solo traveller. The half day time is just fit in my entire trip plan that help to maximize your short one day tour in Kampot. The most interested of the tour is visiting La Plantation project and learn about its purpose of supporting the local famous pepper, provide jobs for local laborers and improving their families’ children future by supporting their education.

5.00We had a great time with Phalla! He was kind and a awesome guide. Would use him again if we come back to Kampot. We booked just the first day through Viator than added a Kayak trip and waterfall hike.
