5.00We were a group of 10 and had Ilya as our tour guide and it was a great walking tour! Super informative and comprehensive. Ilya explained things very thoroughly and patiently and was funny and considerate of all participant. He had some illustrated posters to help with the explanations and we covered a lot of ground in Kanazawa, from the samurai houses to the gardens and castle. I loved that he focused on the tour and making sure we covered all the important spots without either spending too much time or ‘encouraging’ us to shop or buy things along the way as some tour guides do. He was well informed and did an amazing job. This was a free tour but was even better than some paid tours I’ve done in the past few days. At the end we got some really good recommendations on places to eat. Thanks!

5.00Aiko was such an amazing tour guide! I love her personality. She is so warm and bubbly and is such a good history teacher. She is a former elementary school teacher which is why I think she is such a great storyteller. Great tour to learn about the rich history and culture in Kanazawa, I highly recommend this tour, especially if you are lucky enough to have Aiko-san as your guide!
