Higashi Chaya District (and Kazue Machi)
The most famous tea district and Geisha/Geiko area in Kanazawa. It is also the home of Kinpaku (Gold leaf crafts). You will have the option to make your own gold leaf creation there.It is also possible to drink authentic green macha tea.
The Samurai District
Visit the streets where the Samurai lived. You will enter the houses of the Ashigaru (footsoldiers), and then view the larger residences of the more powerful samurai.
You will have the option of entering the Nomura Samurai house. A kutani pottery museum and tea gardens are also en-route. There is also the option of taking a break for tea or a bite to eat here.
Kenrokuen Gardens
The famous gardens of the six attributes, facing Kanazawa Castle and Utatsu Mountain.There are opportunities to take a break, and to enjoy tea ceremony.

5.00Our guide Nozomi was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the culture and history of Kanazawa. She took us to see an Artisan Wood worker who produced some beautiful pieces. We also saw a Samurai house and visited the Geisha district with some delicious Saki. Highly recommended.

5.00Today we had a fantastic private tour with a delightful young woman called Ai.She was extremely knowledgeable,helpful and friendly .Ai spoke perfect English and we thoroughly enjoyed walking through the beautiful gardens laughing and chatting. 5.00Mr Kenzo san was our tour guide and he was a lovely man. He had a good sense of humor and is very knowledgable on the history, customs and traditions of the places that we visited. I would highly recommend him for future tours and would definitely request for Mr Kenzo san in future trips to Kanazawa.

5.00My wife, my daughters and I had a delightful tour through Kanazawa by our guide Kayo Iida. She was very knowledgable, very nice and connected well to us. She showed us the samoerai district, the geisha district and the goldleaf museum. Her stories made the history come alive, very interesting! I wholeheartedly recommend this tour by Kayo!

5.00Ian met us in the train station and took us to see the city sites. It was a great afternoon walking the gardens and the castle grounds. We saw geisha districts and stopped in many shops along the way. Ian helped make it a memorable experience. Highly recommended.
