A coach guided tour from Adelaide as advertised but no guide. Just a bunch of drivers picking us up from a to b to c and finally another driver on Kangaroo Island. This cost the most of all my viator tours and I expected a guide. In fact there were many on the ferry to the island unfortunately not one of them was for our group of 50. Then on seal bay we were told a walk on the beach to see the seals. Unfortunately the walk on the beach was from the wooden steps onto the beach and then we stopped in that spot for 15 minutes. Again a guided beach walk to view the seals. Upon enquiring why other groups with a national park guide were able to walk along the beach and not us, I was told because the group was too big. Surely the solution was to split up the group. Many staff at the national park so easily done. Not good enough especially for the costs involved.

Yes it's a long day, but it's definitely worth it and the tour is very well executed in terms of times etc. Great comentry from Roger on the way to the ferry and once on the Island Dave our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Scenery is stunning. Great to experience Koalas and Kangaroos close up. Lunch was also good. The ferry also sells snacks and drinks so plenty opportunity to top up on water etc.

My recent excursion to Kangaroo Island via SeaLink was, in a word, commendable—a meticulously orchestrated itinerary for the conscientious traveler. Our day commenced with an impressively punctual pickup at the designated bus station. I commend the operators on this adherence to temporal accuracy—a quality often undervalued yet critical for a satisfactory expedition. Our journey to the island began with a SeaLink cruise, an experience both efficient and refreshingly brisk. Upon arrival, we were efficiently transferred to tour buses, marking the start of a detailed exploration of Kangaroo Island. Our first stop was Seal Bay, an encounter with the local sea lions that was as enlightening as it was aromatic. Following this, we indulged in lunch—an exemplary chicken salad accompanied by a delightful cheesecake, both of which exceeded my admittedly high culinary standards for tour meals. Post-lunch, we visited the Remarkable Rocks. While their nomenclature may lack imagination, the rocks themselves possess a geological magnificence worthy of such a title. We then progressed to Admirals Arch, where the scenic beauty and rugged formations reminded me of nature’s uncanny ability to render one speechless, even myself. Next, we entered the Kangaroo Wildlife Park, a setting designed for interaction with native fauna. Here, I hand-fed kangaroos—a surprisingly endearing experience. Additionally, petting koalas provided a tactile insight into the undeniable softness of these creatures, and an array of birds was present for our visual entertainment. In summation, the tour was an unequivocally well-organized and enjoyable experience. Timings were strict, necessarily so, as we had to return to the cruise on schedule—a commendable logistical decision. However, I must note a minor issue in passenger categorization between day-trippers and extended-stay travelers, leading to some initial confusion. Once aboard the bus, however, order was restored. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable and scientifically satisfying experience on Kangaroo Island. I would rate it highly and recommend it to those who appreciate punctuality, structure, and the beauty of well-preserved natural habitats.

Loved the experience at the end at the wildlife park. Although it was a shortened experience because we got a late start in the morning. lol much was better than I expected.

The seals and the wildlife park. Getting to hold a Koala. The knowledge of the tour guide was amazing. He had so many stories to tell.
