This exclusive private half-day tour from the port of Katakolon will take you to ancient Olympia, the playground of the Gods and heroes of Greek mythology where the Olympic flame is lit for each Olympiad.
This blessed land is home to one of the finest agricultural produces in the country, olive oil. Discover the products of the olive tree, the symbol of immortality and wisdom on a complimentary olive oil tasting experience at a local market. Experience the local produce firsthand by sampling local balsamic vinegar, olives, local sweet snacks, olive oil infusions.
Then, go off-the-beaten-path into a farm filled with fruit trees and vegetables and find Greek hospitality. Learn all about the circle of life of the bees by a local beekeeper and taste local delicacies accompanied by local artisan's honey.
Wrap up your tour by spending some time in the town of Katakolon for shopping and lunch by the seafront.

5.00This is a fun excursion. Our guide did a great job showing us where the 1st Olympics took place plus took us to a honey farm. It was nice seeing rural countryside of Greece.

5.00This was a wonderful shore excursion. Our guide Mario was fantastic handling changes to our itinerary due to rain in the morning, and accommodating people who were less mobile than others. The honey farm was really interesting, and our guide at the olympic site was fun and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

5.00Eleni, the Olympic site guide, and driver Consta were excellent. The stops to learn about the production and taste the olive oil at Padelina in Ancient Olympia and the history of honey collection and its use at Klio’s honey farm were fascinating and tasty additions to an already wonderful experience. We would highly recommend this excursion.

5.00This experience was AMAZING! My wife and I found this, and we had wanted to go taste local cuisine and see the Olympic site, and this was the perfect combo!!! Our group was picked up from the port in a comfy private coach, where our amazing guide talked us through the area driving the 30 minutes toward Olympia. After arrival, we had an amazing guided tour through the beautiful and historic Olympic site, and then were taken a few minutes away to a local bee farm, named Kilos Bee Farm. There, we got to meet the owner, Kilo, who offered us drinks and some light refreshments as she explained the life of bees, how honey is made, and allowed us to try her products and purchase some for home! Finally, we drove to a small flea market to try some amazing local olive oils and balsamic, before finally driving back to the town. For anyone who’s a history and food fan, this is the trip for you!!! HIGHLY recommended for all ages!

5.00A wonderful experience visiting the Olympic site, our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I would also highly recommend visiting the Klios Honey Farm. It was an Authentic and quaint Family owned business passed down from 3 generations. The olive oil tasting was a great place to Stop & Shop.

5.00Such a great time to go to Olympia during an Olympic year! Seeing the museum first and then the tour of Olympia is highly recommended as it helps to picture the place and understand the history and meaning. We really enjoyed the bee farm also and the honey was extra delicious!

5.00This was an amazing tour. Our guide held together a very diverse group of people with many questions. The archeological ruins were spectacular. The most special part of the trip was the visit to the honey bee farm where the owner was knowledgeable and open about honey bee farming, something many of us never think about. It was also good to move from place to place in a comfortable van to see the Katakolon area. The olive oil tasting was good and offered opportunity for shopping. The tour is long, so be sure you have enough time to take the tour. We were rushing back to the boat, but it was worth it. We seemed to have a better experience than those who merely did the park with a larger tour.
