5.00This is a well organized and planned food tour. Communication and logistics were flawless in my experience. The food selection was delicious and provided a good variety of flavors. Deepak is very friendly and engaging. He shows interest in his guests and works very hard to ensure they have a good experience. Be prepared to finish with a full stomach and a smile on your face from this great experience.

5.00We were blessed with guides and participants, and we were able to share a warm time while enjoying delicious meals together. The guides were always attentive and were very kind and safe to join. I was able to experience various Nepalese dishes that I didn't know yet, and they were all delicious. They took me to places that locals usually go, so I felt like I was a little bit integrated into Nepalese life. The guides and participants were very friendly and it was like playing with local friends. The food was delicious and the guides were very friendly, and it was such a great tour to be a part of.

It starts in a space barely bigger than a closet. Shelves stacked with snacks, a small fridge humming in the corner, and a woman working with quiet precision—hands moving faster than your eyes can follow. She cracks open each shell, fills it, dips it, and hands it over. Panipuri. One bite. That’s all you get. The shell shatters instantly—crisp giving way to soft potato and chickpea, followed by a flood of tangy, herb-laced water that feels electric. It’s messy, chaotic, and perfect. You’re not observing anymore—you’re in it. Somewhere later, under dim streetlights, you find yourself holding a small plastic cup. Sweet lassi. Cool. Thick. Quiet. After the intensity of the street, it feels grounding—yogurt softened with just enough sweetness, a few nuts floating on top. It’s not flashy. It’s restorative. Kathmandu, it turns out, knows exactly when to slow things down. Then the tour builds again. A plate lands in front of you—golden, crisp, unapologetically indulgent. Fried momos. 5.00With a few hours to spare on arrival day in Kathmandu, I was looking for an afternoon tour, nothing too strenuous, so booked the food and drink walking tour. What a great choice. Deepak took our group to six local places to sample a variety of local delicacies. Before leaving, Deepak sent an extremely helpful summary of Travel Safety Guidelines. He met me right on time, was knowledgeable, polite and extremely helpful. Because I had just arrived in Nepal, and needed local currency, he kindly diverted to an ATM so I could withdraw local currency. An excellent way to spend your first afternoon in Kathmandu. I highly recommend Deepak!

5.00We had an incredible food tour in Kathmandu with Deepak Nepali, who brought the city’s culture to life through its food. Wandering through the rainy streets of Thamel and nearby neighborhoods made it even more atmospheric. We stopped at four restaurants and two street vendors, sampling a variety of Newari and local Kathmandu specialties—every bite was delicious. A perfect way to experience the heart of the city! We highly recommend Deepak’s food tour. Come hungry!!!
