Children tour fare is valid for kids 7-12 . We do not allow children under 7, including infants in carriers, as this experience is best suited for older children and adults. We invite families with younger children to visit our new Lydgate Chocolate Tasting Room in downtown Kapaa: now open Monday – Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Please list the age of your child or children when making a reservation. We only allow children over 7 years old.

Farm visits require a tour reservation (we do not offer self-guided tours). Visit our tasting room in Kapaa town instead!

Our chocolate sommelier Mason was nothing short of amazing. He had an incredible sense of humor, with broad & fun movie references, exceptional botanist expertise, and a true love for his life passions of Hawaii and chocolate! He was highly engaged with the class and very personable. Well done Mason the Master Chocolatier! You will love this experience. The only negative is that there was not wine with all the chocolate we enjoyed!

I cannot speak highly enough about our experience yesterday. Our guide, Jess, was absolutely fantastic. She never stopped smiling and genuinely radiated excitement about everything she was explaining and showing us. It’s such a gift to have a guide who clearly has true passion for what they do and for the company they represent. The store and overall experience were far beyond anything I expected. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Kauai — it was truly unforgettable!

We are visiting Kauai and booked the chocolate tour and could not be happier. Our guide Jenna was a delite. She was knowledgeable and passionate about the farm, the chocolate, honey and vanilla as well as the local produce. We enjoyed samples of many fruits, 4 honeys, macadamia nuts and of course many varieties of chocolate! I have mobility issues and they were able to assist with rides to and from the tasting. This made it possible for me to participate and I'm grateful. I highly recommend this tour.

We learned how cacao pods are grown, harvested, and made in cocoa products. We had many tastings of chocolate, tropical fruits, and honey. It was fun, informative, and very enjoyable!

Mason was our guide and he is wonderful. its a fast 3 hrs of tasting chocolate, fruits, nuts and honey. you learn a lot about farming and the industry. if you come to Kauai you should not miss this tour

Jess was a fabulous tour guide through the 46-acre farm. Lots of chocolate, honey and fruit tastings!!! Will consider this an every trip requirement. Yum!!! And we learned a lot! Very accommodating with water stations, shade, transport, bathrooms and hand sanitizer. Worth the cost in a heartbeat. This is not like a factory tour. It’s educational and promotes healthy farming and craft chocolate.

This tour is so great! Sheri (our tour guide) did a fabulous job! We were in Kauai in Oct for our anniversary and did the chocolate tour. I enjoyed it so much that I did the bee tour a couple of days later. We came back to the island in Feb with family and friends. My husband took a friend and did the chocolate tour again, and I just did it again with our son and another friend. Highly recommended! Sheri was my tour guide again. Yay! The tasting room in Kapa'a is also highly recommended. Best chocolate I've ever had and lots of fascinating information. Every staff member in the store from and on the farm was top notch- friendly and knowledgeable. I love Lydgate Farms!

Our tour guide, Mason, was very friendly and did a excellent job. He thoroughly described the process of making chocolate from seed to finished bar. We took a nice long tour walking through the farm and he pointed out different fruits and flowers and showed us vanilla and chocolate harvesting. Everything was lovely as he gave us a complete description of how chocolate is grown. We sat down for a sampling of different fruits and macadamia nuts. Then we also had a chocolate tasting station where he thoroughly explained how chocolate is produced. We also got to taste some of the honey they make. The whole tour took over 3 hours. We got plenty of samplings of chocolate, honey, and fruit. They have a gift shop for you can purchase their homegrown chocolate. Mason was one of the best tour guides I've ever encountered. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It was well worth the money we spent.
