Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

5.00We had a really lovely time! This e-bike experience was the best way to begin our trip. Lori and Eugene do such a wonderful job of the entire experience, and we learned so much about Kauai and its history! I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone!

4.00The show was fantastic. It was a bit crowded bar line did thin as the night wore on. The food was average at best again likely due to the number of people needing to be fed. Overall a great experience and the grounds were beautiful.

5.00This is a family friendly activity. The vendors had interesting local made jewelry, soaps and handbags. There was a henna tattoo artist that my 4yr old grandson loved. The Imu ceremony revealed a wonderful smelling pork dinner. The story of first arrivals to Hawaii was beautifully told in song and dance.

4.00Lovely space. Good food and awesome entertainment. There was a neat surprise of a little market with arts/crafts from local artisans that was fun to browse before dinner started. It was a little hard you hear everything sometimes, but that was really the only thing.

2.00It felt like a themed cruise ship dinner. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the show was decent but the food and overall experience was poor. The food wasn’t authentic and tasted so poorly only one person in our party ate. For the price and advertising we expected authentic Hawaiian food and to watch a luau that focused on the history of Hawaii. If you aren’t expecting either of those things then this luau is for you. .

5.00Wonderful experience! I’m glad we took the train around the beautiful plantation before heading over to the luau. It was a beautiful experience. The dancing was incredible and such a beautiful experience learning about the Hawaii culture. The food was also delicious! Thank you for sharing your culture and family with us. Maholo!

4.00Overall, great experience! Some things to consider- THE most organized luau I’ve ever attended. Lots of vendors on property before show. Actually great food! Under a large covering, so not as affected by rainy weather. Beautiful property. There are definitely not great seats available, ha. Ours were one of those…I’d highly recommend upgrading seats. Worth it. Show is a little slower but has more of a story line than just a dance performance. Really impressively run, great service. Although our visibility for show was limited, my three kids had a wonderful time and loved their leis!
