Experience the thrill of a lifetime with our doors-off helicopter tour over breathtaking Kauai. On this exhilarating adventure, you will feel the wind in your hair and get unobstructed views from our specially designed helicopter with the doors removed and pilot controls on the left hand side.

Our knowledgeable and skilled pilots will guide you through the island’s iconic landmarks, providing insightful commentary along the way.

Safety is our top priority, and our doors-off helicopter tours adhere to the highest industry standards.

We fly a FULL 60-65 minute tour. You don’t want to settle for any less than 60 minutes, as this allows our pilots to take their time at each viewpoint and rotate the helicopter so all passengers have a great view regardless of seating arrangements.

We fly a MD500E aircraft, one of the safest and best helicopter makes in the world. Please know we fly a full tour with all seats sold. Weight restrictions apply.

After checking in at our office and verifying weights you will be given a thorough safety briefing. You will then be transported to our hangar where you will board the aircraft and meet your pilot.

After taking off, your first scenic landmarks will be the Nawiliwili Harbor and historic Menehune Fishpond. This is a great time to test out the two way communication and chat with your pilot and introduce yourself.

Absolutely breathtaking. Doors off is the way to go, the scenery is breathtaking. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They picked me up at the port and in a short time we were in the air. The pilot was so informative and answered all questions, It was an experience of a lifetime and I would love to do it again.

This helicopter tour was the highlight of our trip! Our pilot, Chris, showed us the most amazing sights, up close and from multiple angles. We were able to take great pictures and video from the flight and the views were breathtaking. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Was a wonderful doors off Helicopter ride. My wife was a liitle nervous but she loved it. Pilot was well skilled in maneuvering the Helicopter on tight spaces. Accommodated me as a photographer seating me on the right side. Such beautiful views all over Kauai !

After our original two helicopter tours with other providers were canceled, we booked a same day Doors-Off MD500 Tour with Jack Harter Helicopters—and what an incredible blessing in disguise it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, the entire team—Anna, Jason, and our phenomenal pilot, Nicky Rotor—made us feel welcome, safe, and excited for the adventure ahead. Their professionalism and enthusiasm set the tone for what became an unforgettable journey. The flight itself was absolutely magical. Seeing Kauai from the air with the doors off is beyond words—the dramatic cliffs of the Na Pali Coast, hidden waterfalls, lush valleys, and deep blue waters all took our breath away. Nicky’s skillful flying and insightful narration brought the island’s beauty and history to life in such a memorable way. We left completely awestruck and so grateful for the experience. What an amazing experience! A helicopter ride was on my bucket list but this blew me away. It was awesome to see everything from the air as we spent the past few days hiking around the island and seeing the coast by sea. Arthur our pilot was fantastic. He was super knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable. I love that the company is locally owned and operated. They give you a zip tie with a wrist wrap for your phone which was super ingenuis.

The gorgeous beaches and north shore views! It was soooo serene and breathtakingly beautiful. I couldn’t believe how many waterfalls I saw! It was exhilarating & magnificent! Absolutely worth every penny! The land is uninhabited and no roads, so the best way to see it is from the air. The view and experience was unforgettable!

We had Preston for a pilot. He was great! This was by far the best thing we did. I’m scared of heights and was not nervous at all. Our flight was moved from 1:30 to a 3:15 time slot and we had perfect weather and lighting! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. The views were unreal!
