Safety is our top priority, and our doors-off helicopter tours adhere to the highest industry standards.
We fly a FULL 60-65 minute tour. You don’t want to settle for any less than 60 minutes, as this allows our pilots to take their time at each viewpoint and rotate the helicopter so all passengers have a great view regardless of seating arrangements.
We fly a MD500E aircraft, one of the safest and best helicopter makes in the world. Please know we fly a full tour with all seats sold. Maximum of 4 passengers per helicopter. Weight restrictions apply.

After checking in at our office and verifying weights you will be given a thorough safety briefing. You will then be transported to our hangar where you will board the aircraft and meet your pilot.
After taking off, your first scenic landmarks will be the Nawiliwili Harbor and historic Menehune Fishpond. This is a great time to test out the two way communication and chat with your pilot and introduce yourself.

5.00This has been a bucket list item for me ever since I first visited Hawaii in 2024 and the team at JH delivered! This is THE one thing everyone must do while in Kauai. Left me absolutely speechless and I would do it a thousand times more if I could. Don't overthink it, just book it!

3.00I was seated in directly behind the pilot and can say without doubt my experience was not as good as the two people in the front seat or even in the back on the passenger side. While everyone else was ooohing and aaaahing over everything the pilot/guide pointed out, I was either looking at the ocean or trying to see through the person on my right who was busy taking pictures. I guess someone had to get the worst seat and it happened to be me. This was both the most expensive excursion we booked and what I was most looking forward to. What a disappointment! This seat should definitely be offered at a discounted price to match the subpar views and experience. Otherwise, the process, experience, and pilot all were good. I don’t know how someone booking could make sure they got a better seat, but if I would have known I would get the short end of the stick, I would have saved my money for something more worthwhile.

5.00The helicopter ride with Jack Harter Co. is an amazing experience for anyone wanting to see any of the Hawaiian islands. My wife and I started with an evening boat tour a couple of days prior and that was a great bottom up look. The helicopter ride does the opposite and gives you an even fuller perspective of the beautiful terrain of Kauai. Our pilot Nick was wonderful at providing his almost 20 years of experience flying helicopters in Hawaii through his calm handling of the aircraft, his calm demeanor and his acquired knowledge of the history of the island. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is pricey in today’s market but if you have to pool money together for one truly memorable experience on Kauai or any of the islands, do so for this excursion. You will never forget or regret it!

5.00I had an amazing time and had beautiful, magical, spectacular views of Kauai! Great pilot, Nick, got us close to Napali coast and Waimea Canyon. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kauai Luxury Doors-Off Jack Carter Helicopter Tours is a must do experience in Kauai!

5.00Tues 6/2/26 we were scheduled for 8:30 AM. Due to weather they had to cancel the flight so tried rescheduling for 3:00 but it was also cancelled due to weather. There were no other days or times that worked for us so Jack Harter Helicopters gave us a full refund. Every staff member was extremely nice, accommodating and super courteous! I would highly recommend Jack Harter Helicopters they are professional and very safety conscious. Hope to be able to go on one of their tours on a future vacation to Kauai. Thank you Jack Harter Helicopters!

5.00We had a fantastic time with the doors off tour. It is the only way to go on a tour. We took two helicopters with Chrissy and Salis and could not have been happier. Saw the island in a way that is hard to describe. Our group was very happy and want to do the tour again. Thank you, Michael

5.00Absolutely amazing!! Mario, our pilot was awesome!! Very knowledgeable about the surroundings! He has a GREAT music list!! NaPali coast is breathtaking!! Definitely worth the money! Take the suggestion and wear a jacket- it’s cold up there!
