We are a team of passionate people who care about nature and alternative tourism, we developed Go Kayak Cancun to let people learn about and explore an authentic version of Cancun and the diverse ecosystem we are lucky to have in the area in a safe and professional way. Live a unique experience among the mangroves of Laguna Nichupté. We will start with an introductory talk on safety and basic concepts of the activity. Then we enter the mangrove forest where we can admire the great variety of birds that inhabit or visit the place in its channels and lagoons. If we are lucky, we might see some exotic animals that live in the area. The activity is perfect for people who want to live the experience of being surrounded by nature on the water, whether they are beginners or advanced kayakers. Self-challenge: most animals may see, hear or smell you long before you are aware of their presence. Whether you are searching for wildlife or observing it, you will be more successful if you rely on more than just your eyes. Listen for cracking twigs or branches, animal calls, or the flutter of birds' wings to help you locate animals. Please arrive 20 minutes before ativity starts.

5.00If you are in Cancun and have not visited a mangrove before and would like to get in some calm relaxing exercise with a little adventure, this is for you. The mangroves are pristine, the water is clear and the whole experience is very calming as you paddle through the mangrove channels and explore the mangrove tree canopy overhead. I am sorry that I did not take my diving/snorkelling mask with me as there is also opportunity to snorkel during rest stops. The water is about 2-3 m deep at most and crystal clear so you will see fish and rays, apart from the birds in the trees. Although I am an experienced kayaker I still enjoyed the trip because our group was less than 10 and our 2 guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. So even if you have not kayaked before, you will easily manage. This excursion is a great addition to doing some scuba/ snorkeling, swimming in the cenotes and visiting the Mayan pyramids

5.00This was incredible. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and passionate, I can’t say enough good things. It’s right in the hotel zone and you can walk or take the bus there, but you get to visit the incredible mangroves and step away from the hustle of vacation and see what’s right there all around. Puts a different perspective on the tourism industry. Would highly recommend you take the time.

5.00A real adventure in nature. Kayaking through an immense mangrove field. It was an absolutely authentic exploration, and very unique for me who has spent many vacations in ans around the the Rivera Maya exploring the nature here. Highly recommended. I write this in January 2025 but I did the kayaking February 2024.

5.00Absolutely wonderful. I took the morning tour. Slowly cruising through the a narrow mangrove passage is quite wonderful. I saw a resting crocodile, there are starfish in one areas, marine sponges in another. We saw birds, Little blue heron, Great blue heron, Tiger heron, Egret, an Anhinga, Andrés, our excellent guide and bird identifier, showed us examples of red black and white mangrove. The whole trip lasted two hours or more. Paddling back to base against the wind was difficult but doable. When we were on the main channel some larger boats went by throwing up waves, but you just turn to face into them and they are not a problem. But in general, it was a spectacular, high value, close to big nature experience with lots to see. I highly recommend it to any nature lover.

5.00Beautiful morning touring the mangroves and learning about the flora and fauna of the place. Andrés is a guide who is passionate about what he does and made us notice the different sounds of the birds, the crabs when cutting the branches and the habits of each of the animals that frequent the area! Super recommended activity to do both with the family and alone.

5.00Wonderful experience! We ended up starting early at 6 AM in order to catch the sunrise. The guide took wonderful photos and sent us some. The tour is a ton of fun and great value for money! highly recommend to anyone visiting Cancun!

5.00This trip was a highlight of our honeymoon - waking up early was absolutely worth it. Andrés was incredibly knowledgeable & so passionate about the environment and wildlife that it was inspiring to be around. Being out on the open water was so peaceful and we were able to experience a ton of marine life (like a giant stingray right under our boat and listening to a tiger heron). This is the real thing, focused on what Cancún really has to offer, and was not touristy or packed with people. We had such a fun time learning from Andrés, and highly recommend this trip!!

5.00I did the kayak activity at sunrise. It was beautiful! Both guides, Andrés and Damián, are super attentive, the place is divine, quiet, and the duration of the tour is perfect. Without a doubt, a place that not many visit but it is worth 1000!
