This section of the Colorado River offers scenic views including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands, and steep canyon walls, and wildlife including bald eagles, deer, beavers, and big horn sheep - always something to see.

You can paddle to a sandy shore to greet families of geese, to the edges of huge cliffs, or around smaller obstacles, wherever your curiosity takes you. Go double with a friend, or enjoy solitude in a single-person ducky.

Upper Colorado River Rafting provides mild Class I-II rapids and occasional Class III rapids at higher water flow. If big, exciting water is what your group is looking for, then the high-water season is the best time to come. Mid-June to early July is traditionally the high-water season. When rivers run at their peak, it can make for a big ride. Pick a big line or choose to skirt it in your own ducky!

The Upper Colorado River is one of the best river sections in the State to try out river toys. There are several stretches of slow-moving water on our Colorado River trips that are perfect to play around on an inflatable kayak. We run inflatable kayaks alongside guided river trips with rafts. An inflatable kayak or “ducky” is a sit-on-top style kayak made of rubber that has multiple chambers filled with air. This offers a more personal experience with the river meaning you will follow your guides but will navigate your own boat down the river. We have both single passengers as well as double-person ducks for those who would like to paddle with a partner. You must be at least 12 years old to use a ducky on this trip. Conveniently located to Winter Park and Breckenridge, Silverthorne, and Dillon, Upper Colorado River Rafting provides mild Class I-II rapids and occasional Class III rapids at higher water flow! Feel free to bring the entire family on this journey, as there is sure to be something for everyone. First timer? No problem! Our guides will help you get comfortable with your river craft. The trip is approximately 3.5 hours.

Our guide Tanner rocked! Very knowledgeable and experienced. He made the adventure fun and memorable. We felt very safe and would definitely recommend this tour company.

This is a must do while in Colorado! I was a little nervous about doing it but I’m so glad I did. My husband and I had such a wonderful time and the views were spectacular! We can’t remember our guides’ names but we called the one Coach (he’s a football coach). The guides made me feel very comfortable and at ease, since it was my first time. From start to finish they were wonderful, definitely recommend booking with this company!

Great time rafting the Upper Colorado. Tanner, Jake and Dustin were excellent guides. We had a group of 14 family members and we all had a blast!
