Join Kayak Gozo - the 2025 Gozo Tourism Awards Winner - for an unforgettable kayaking experience!
We’ll take a kayak adventure to beautiful Comino – exploring caves, crystal waters, gorgeous bays, beaches or rock formations (weather dependent)!
This experience is a half-day guided tour (10am - 1pm or 2:30pm-5:30pm) from Gozo to Comino. We'll either head clockwise past Santa Marija towards the Blue Lagoon or the reverse route. You will see amazing caves, bays and rock formations. Please understand that all tours are weather-dependent and not all areas/routes may be accessible. This tour is for beginners and experienced kayakers.
The tour has 2.5 hours of kayaking and includes 30 min break. In the break, you can swim, relax and explore on land!
If needed, the guide will teach you the basics and make sure you feel comfortable!
This is an active adventure, so a basic level of fitness and swimming ability required.

Minimum age is 10 years old (strict policy)
Children under 15 are required to be in a double kayak with an adult (strict policy)
All participants must be able to swim at a basic level and everyone is required to wear a life vest at all times in the kayak.
Double kayaks will be provided to even numbered groups unless singles are specifically requested/approved at the time of booking.
Each guide is only permitted to lead a limited number of kayaks for safety reasons and to increase the quality of the tour. For this reason, availability may be limited.
Minimum group size of 2, solo travellers may join if an existing group has formed but may need to be flexible.

Hondoq Bay
Our awesome tour to Comino start and end here in Gozo! Hondoq Bay is Blue Flag beach and a great place to relax before or after your kayak tour :) When you arrive you will be introduced to your guide and they will set you up with the equipment and make sure you are comfortable in your kayak. After that you will do a safety briefing and then we head off on our journey!
We generally start with a short paddle along the Gozo coastline to get comfortable in our kayaks before our journey takes us across the Gozo Channel to Comino! The crossing usually takes about 20min and is approx. 800m at the narrowest point. This is where the adventure really gets started!

5.00This is an outstanding kayak trip. The scenery was breathtaking and our guide Andrew ensured our safety throughout. It is a must for anyone who wants to explore the water, caves and swimming spots around Gozo and Comino. Definitely highly recommended !

5.00Fantastic afternoon out on the open water. Paddled first along the Gozo coast from Hondoq Bay to an amazing inlet and cave. Then headed out across the channel to Comino and into the Blue Lagoon. Wow! The water..the colours. Then along the Comino coast exploring more caves and inlets. We stopped for half an hour to swim with masks to check out the many beautiful fish and see the opening in the rock out into the open channel. So beautiful. We had the opportunity to jump the 4m drop from the side of the inlet. Thrilling!!!!! Then it was back to Hondoq Bay across the channel over a slightly longer route. Lorna, our coach, was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. She was great fun and all six of us had a really fun and enjoyable afternoon. Thank you so very much xx

5.00Had Lorna as my guide. She directed our group very well through multiple parts of the Gozo and Comino coasts, taking pictures of each person throughout. The tour lasted about 2.5-3 hours. The banter between Lorna and Frank, another guide, showed that the staff loved what they did, which made the experience all the more enjoyable for us guests!

5.00If I could, I would give more than 5 stars. A truly amazing experience that one will remember for a long time. Our team consisted of 9 people + 1 guide. After a sufficient briefing and handing over the equipment, we set off to the sea. First, we traveled along the coast of Gozo, then we crossed over to Comino, from there we explored some caves and bays. Afterwards, we took a break in a really beautiful bay where we could swim, dive, and also jump from rocks. Superb experience! Afterwards, we made a short stop at the Blue Lagoon and then returned to Gozo. Definitely wear swimwear to truly enjoy the experience! Especially noteworthy (off-peak season - May): Due to high demand for the ferry at that time (8 AM), we had to wait a long time at the ferry, which resulted in us not being able to reach the booked morning tour on time. A rebooking to the afternoon tour worked without any problems. Thanks again to the team! I would recommend the tour to everyone and would book it again!

5.00Absolutely loved this experience - we had such a great time! It was such a great way to see the area of coast around the Blue Lagoon, in a way that felt much more peaceful than going by one of the tour boats. The guides were fantastic, and took us to spots/coves which were quiet for swimming and away from crowds. I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone who wants to enjoy this area away from the crowds!

5.00An totally awesome and enjoyable trip with Frank. He was knowledgeable about the area and ensured that I felt safe while maximizing the experience. We explored along the shore of Gozo and Comino including caves and the Blue Lagoon. The paddling was wonderful - wonderful and memorable trip.

5.00Very enjoyable kayak through crystal clear turquoise waters with lots of interesting caves and rock arches. Our kayak guide, Frank, shared interesting information about the area and was very good at managing people with different levels of kayaking experience on the same trip to enable them all to have a good time.
