Join Kayak Gozo - the 2025 Gozo Tourism Awards Winner - for an unforgettable kayaking experience!
We’ll take a kayak adventure to beautiful Comino – exploring caves, crystal waters, gorgeous bays, beaches or rock formations (weather dependent)!
This experience is a half-day guided tour (10am - 1pm or 2:30pm-5:30pm) from Gozo to Comino. We'll either head clockwise past Santa Marija towards the Blue Lagoon or the reverse route. You will see amazing caves, bays and rock formations. Please understand that all tours are weather-dependent and not all areas/routes may be accessible. This tour is for beginners and experienced kayakers.
The tour has 2.5 hours of kayaking and includes 30 min break. In the break, you can swim, relax and explore on land!
If needed, the guide will teach you the basics and make sure you feel comfortable!
This is an active adventure, so a basic level of fitness and swimming ability required.

Minimum age is 10 years old (strict policy)
Children under 15 are required to be in a double kayak with an adult (strict policy)
All participants must be able to swim at a basic level and everyone is required to wear a life vest at all times in the kayak.
Double kayaks will be provided to even numbered groups unless singles are specifically requested/approved at the time of booking.
Each guide is only permitted to lead a limited number of kayaks for safety reasons and to increase the quality of the tour. For this reason, availability may be limited.
Minimum group size of 2, solo travellers may join if an existing group has formed but may need to be flexible.

Hondoq Bay
Our awesome tour to Comino start and end here in Gozo! Hondoq Bay is Blue Flag beach and a great place to relax before or after your kayak tour :) When you arrive you will be introduced to your guide and they will set you up with the equipment and make sure you are comfortable in your kayak. After that you will do a safety briefing and then we head off on our journey!
We generally start with a short paddle along the Gozo coastline to get comfortable in our kayaks before our journey takes us across the Gozo Channel to Comino! The crossing usually takes about 20min and is approx. 800m at the narrowest point. This is where the adventure really gets started!

5.00We booked a 3-hour kayaking tour, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. Our guide, Frank, was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We explored some incredible caves and a stunning blue lagoon. I would highly recommend this tour!

5.00You need to be relatively strong and fit to paddle as far as you do - 6km. Sometimes the swell can be quite high - BUT - our guide Frank was great, it’s definitely an activity to do while visiting the area. Highly recommend

5.00Absolutely would re commend this kayaking 3hr tour. Frank (our guide) was excellent - clear instructions, understanding, super friendly and clearly loved his job. A great way to see parts of Gozo and Comino that you won’t on boats. Avoid the traffic and the people.

5.00We had a fantastic afternoon of kayaking with Viv and Ang. Both guides were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, skillful and very attentive to all of our group. It was a great way to experience the Blue Lagoon as we were able to access quieter sections, away from the tour boats. I have recommended this tour to others and will happily do so again. 5.00Highlight of our trip to Malta, excellent tour. Viv was our group guide, we arrived extra early and she gave us a wee run through and made us comfortable while we waited. Viv was funny, welcoming, and very informative. Frank and Chris were also on hand and were also welcoming, and funny. Defo a good team. My husband had done some kayaking before but as my first time Viv filled me with confidence and made me feel comfortable. The trip was just the most perfect way to explore the caves and blue lagoon in a more personal way than the big boat tours. The whole experience was fantastic, the trying a new sport, the team work, the closeness to the environment we were there to enjoy, the laughs, chat and banter. I would highly recommend visiting the blue lagoon and surrounding area on this tour. We got the bus from Malta, ferry and walked from ferry to meeting point. A beautiful coastal walk which was a wee bonus as would not of necessarily had reason to do that beautiful walk otherwise. In addition Viv took time to make sure she regularly took photos of everyone in the group throughout the tour to ensure you had memories to take away. Thank you team Kayak Gozo for a crackin day.

5.00Kayaking was the HIGHLIGHT of our week in Malta! Frank and Viv helped us get comfortable and provided wonderful instruction for the first timers. They provided everything we needed to be comfortable and safe. Frank was our tour guide- he kept us safe and he shared stories about the history of Gozo and Comino along the journey. They took all the pictures we wanted so we felt good about leaving our phones behind (all of the items were locked up)! Frank was extremely motivating and made us feel like experts on the water! We would 10000% do it again!
