Given the option of booking an on board cruise itinerary vs this guided tour I would definitely book the non cruise ship option

This excursion was the first time with Viator I was highly disappointed!!!! We paid $300 and was suppose to have a English speaking tour guide and instead got someone who was new who couldn’t speak hardly any English and only took you to places and brought stuff up on her phone to read what it was! She brought up what it said on Viator which we already knew! We wanted history and a guide which we paid for!!! I had to get upset at her and tell her we paid for a guide to tell us about stuff. She really didn’t understand. She even told us she was NEW. Received a 2 because we went to 2 spots we asked for.

Really nice day. Stanley was very informative and took us around. He gave us info on the history of Taiwan. Took us to temples and monuments. Nice car and water included.

Perfect experience! Tony took this to the 101 building to the observation deck which was astounding along with visiting the temple, the palace and even had lunch at a typical Taiwanese restaurant. Tony was so knowledgeable and we left the tour out to him to choose the highlights. It was the perfect tour and Tony is the perfect tour guide!

Coming to Taiwan means to enter a different world. Here is so much history, modern living and every corner something new to explore. Our guide, OSCAR, one of the best we ever had. Five stars are not enough! He provided so much valuable informations, every time ready to change route. Asking to have a local lunch, we stopped in an amazing place with authentic food. Experience of our livetime ! Thank you again Oscar, will never forget you!
