Get ready to mark this off your bucket-list! Experience Churchill Downs Racetrack, the most well-known racing venue in the world. Kentucky Derby Museum includes daily historic walking tours, two levels of family-friendly interactive permanent & temporary exhibits, “The Greatest Race,” a 360-degree immersive sound and visual experience that’ll get your heart racing and emotions soaring, and a chance to meet the Museum's resident Thoroughbred and companion pony. You will also have access to the Gift Shop, Kentucky fare in the Derby Cafe, and much more!

Approximately .3 miles of walking is involved in the Guided Track Visit of Churchill Downs.
Wheelchair accessible: Free wheelchair rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis upon request. You are welcome to bring your own manual wheelchair, motorized wheelchair or electric mobility scooter.
An induction loop is available for hearing impaired.
Tours are outdoors and will depart rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the Museum will do its best to reschedule your tour experience.
On non-live racing days at Churchill Downs: Free Museum visitor parking in Red, White, & Black lots off Taylor Boulevard and Central Avenue in front of the Museum. On live racing dates at Churchill Downs: Free Museum visitor parking in Black, Green, Orange, Yellow, & Turquoise lots off Taylor Boulevard and Central Avenue in front of the Museum. The Red Lot closest to the Museum is available only on non-racing days. You may drop off guests in the round-a-bout in front of the Museum before parking.

5.00We enjoyed every minute of the Museum, Track Tour, Backside Tour and movie! The cafe had great sandwiches that were served quickly . Our tour guide, Stan, was the BEST! His information, personal stories and engagement with all of us on his tours made the day enjoyable, educational and personal. The backside tour was worth the extra cost. I knew very little about the Kentucky Derby before these tours. I enjoyed learning about the horses and about Derby Day. I will be watching the race in May!!

5.00Such a fun tour of Church Hill Downs and a visit to the KY Derby Museum. Our visit started with a viewing of the 'Greatest Race' and general admission to the museum. We did the guided track tour, which comes with your general admission ticket. Additionally, we booked the Superstars and Spires tour, which was totally worth it! We got a behind the scenes look at what happens on Derby Day and our guide had a lot of insider stories for us. Highly recommend doing this too! We arrived at the museum early and found a close parking spot. For reference, our kids are teenagers and enjoyed and appreciated this tour.

1.00The “tour” with general admission and museum is a joke. The guide takes you next to track and stands for 25 minutes telling you stories. There was a truck parked where we couldn’t see the start/finish line, the winners circle, we seen the twin spires from a distance. That was it! Pathetic! We could have WALKED down to see the start/ finish line, winners circle and twin spires! It was pathetic for Churchill downs to call that a “tour”! Get one of the other tour packages if you want to actually SEE Churchill downs!

5.00Great 30 minute tour to get the background of this historic place in American racing history. Our guide was very relaxed, knowledgeable, and it was absolutely worth every penny of the cost. Would highly recommend it!

5.00I had a free couple of hours on a Saturday and this was a great way to spend the afternoon. It doesn’t take a full day, but was an interesting experience. The museum offered a bit of history combined with a nice interactive experience.
