5.00This is a great way to see some of the sights of Key West and learn about some of its (often very sad) history. Our guide was Father James and he did an excellent job of telling the stories. We had been to several of the locations previously but hadn't heard tales from the dark side before. Parts of it were quite sad, such as the 1400 or so African children who were slated for repatriation to Liberia, a country most of them did not come from nor had probably ever heard of before (does this sound familiar?). Several hundred died before they could be shipped onwards and were buried and then reburied at the south side of the island. There is now a memorial and green space and apparently bones still turn up on the beaches after storms. A terrible treatment of poor children with eerie similarities to current Government policies. The tour included a 15-minute or so stop at the Shipwreck Museum and included coupons for $5 off which we used the next day. Overall a very enjoyable way to learn more about the history of Key West. Oh, and they train everyone on the bus to reply "Yes, we are the doomed" if anyone yells out "You are doomed" while we drove by. This happened quite frequently by people who were on the tour previously. The tour might be a little scary for young kids or those who are very sensitive but for the rest of us it was a fun way to see some different sights and learn about another side of Key West history.

5.00Great guide and driver! She (guide) was amazing in costume and had an entertaining presence. Fit the part and spun the stories well! Driver had a great sense of humor and great driving skills in your tourist laden city!

5.00Calico Jack and our driver Howard were amazing, knowledgeable and entertaining. This is a great way to learn about the Island while having fun and experiencing a little bit of fear of the unknown. Great tour!

5.00Fun and the guide Kate was excellent. She was entertaining and her makeup was Hollywood level. Most importantly she was able to change topics as outside crowds guided her talk

5.00The stories were great, detailed, and brought to life with our guide, Victoria! She was also really funny when the occasion called for it! My nephew really enjoyed it, as well (and that’s high praise from an eye-rolling teen…lol)!

1.00Very cheesy, and unsafe. The trolly had a check engine light on and kept stopping/turning off in the intersection mid turn.
