Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.

Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.

This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.

The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

a really great tour that packs in a lot. Andrew our tour guide was exceptional with a lot of knowledge and super friendly. it's a long day and I wish there was more time at boorangoora, but it's not really possible with everything you get to see. we had a baby which felt easy to travel with bringing our own seat, but they can also provide them. we were vegan and gluten free and there was a nice coconut curry at the buffet.

Significant Inconvenience and No Refund Due to Viator’s Own Error

I called Viator on the 26th to book a day tour to Fraser Island for the next day. I paid for two reservations (for me and my friend). We hired a car to drive to Rainbow Beach (almost 3 hours from where we were staying), spent money on petrol, and when we got there, we couldn’t go on the tour due to an error in Viator’s system. The API/system connection failed to finalize the second booking as the tour was already fully booked. As a result, we missed a day of our holidays, had to change our plans completely, booked another hotel, and drove hours for nothing. This led to a significant waste of time and money. Despite all this, I keep being told I’m not eligible for a refund of $568.10. This is extremely frustrating and unfair. I’ve sent multiple emails and made several calls, but the Customer Care team has been unhelpful and dismissive. This has been a horrible experience. I do not recommend this service. The hassle and frustration are simply not worth it!

Great tour, experiencing the best parts of K’Gari Island. Highlights were Maheno Shipwreck, Eli Creek and Lake Mackenzie. Had plenty of time to dip into the beautiful waters. Dave was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable of the island. A must do!
