The Guba-Shahdag tour is a journey through the European part of Azerbaijan. During this tour you will visit candy-cane mountains in Khizi district, ride through the forest-tunnel through which sunshine barely comes through, you will enjoy Azerbaijani national cuisine. The last destination to visit on this tour famous Shahdag, one of two major ski resorts in Azerbaijan, where you will enjoy Shahdag Mountain Coaster.

Masazirgol
Pink Lake (Masazir) — the most unique lake in Azerbaijan, renowned for its unusual hue. There are only eight pink lakes in the world, and one of them is right here in Azerbaijan. Note: During the winter period (from December 1 to March 31), visits to the Pink Lake Masazyr are temporarily suspended, as due to natural conditions the lake loses its characteristic pink shade. This allows more time to be spent at other key locations of the itinerary, including the Shahdag Mountain Resort, which makes the tour even more rich and comfortable.
Multi-Colored Mountains of Khyzy
In Khizi we will visit the mountains that are unique in their appearance. Candy Cane Mountains (also called Colored Mountains, Agate Mountains and Rainbow Mountains) are popularly called for their similarity in color to sugar candies in purple stains.

5.00Aydin the English speaking guide was very friendly from the start. He came up to us and introduced himself, and he was eager to talk about everything we asked and we had a great time together. The trip was great in general, they took us to beautiful places. It was a whole day trip, and I really felt like the stops were reasonably scheduled in terms of time. It was also a small bus group so the group could move flexibly together without wasting each others' time. Best for friends and couples mostly, but perhaps some kids who can sit the trip time could also do it. One thing to mention is that at first, we were promised to be able to pay using our cards the day before the trip, but we were texted early in the morning that the office won't be open so we had to stop in the middle of the trip to exchange cash to the local currency. Prepare local cash for the journey.

5.00I had wonderful experience with our tour guide, Nas Paris, and our driver, Elnur. They are very kind and genuine people who made the entire tour comfortable and enjoyable. Nas has great knowledge about the history of Azerbaijan and explained everything clearly and patiently, making it easy to understand and truly engaging. Elnur was professional and friendly, ensuring a smooth and safe journey throughout. We highly recommend them both for an amazing tour experience.

5.00We had an amazing trip to Shahdag on 22 February 2026 with our guide Nazperi, and it was truly a wonderful experience. She explained everything in detail beforehand — including the history, activities, rides, shopping options, and prices — and clearly guided us on what to try and what to skip. Everything was perfectly organized. We never felt bored throughout the trip. Nazperi took great care of us, making sure we had enough time for food and restrooms, and she was always ready to help. She is very entertaining and has excellent knowledge about the history of Azerbaijan, which made the journey even more enjoyable. Special thanks to our driver Elnur as well, who drove very safely and made the trip comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shahdag!
