  Our latest trip with Sote Tours was from the very beginning up to the end just perfect. The staff outdid themselves right from the planning stage up to the actual service for a once in a lifetime experience. Our organizer Kelvin was fantastic. He replied very quickly, and his answers to all of our questions were thorough and timely. He went above and beyond, picking us up from the airport at midnight, which made us feel really welcome and taken care of, and he created a comprehensive schedule based on our tastes. The Safari Experience Our five-day safari was truly unforgettable. Reuben, our guide, was not only an expert but also a delight to be with. In a surprisingly short time, he showed us an amazing array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs, while sharing captivating insights about the animals and their habitats. His enthusiasm for the Serengeti and extensive knowledge of the ecosystem made the experience even more rewarding. The accommodations we had during our safari were fantastic comfortable, well-located, and providing excellent service. We especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings after our long days of exploration. The Kilimanjaro Climb The 8 day trek via the Lemosho Route was an unforgettable adventure.   Before we had decided which operator to choose, we were pleasantly delighted by Sote Tours & Travel rapid responses and great customer service all the time during the booking process. We climbed Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route for 8 days with a group of 7 adults and 2 teenagers, this is a fantastic organization that is quite competent and set up a thorough and well-planned trip to Mount Kilimanjaro. The first day, Kelvin met us just outside the airport, and after 45 minutes transfer to Moshe, we met our guide Sebastian at the hotel and checked our climbing gears and briefed us about the mount Kilimanjaro and what to expect during the trekking days. It was a challenging trek, unbelievable and exhausting experience, but the Sote Tours staff made the experience safe and fun. We all made it to the top of Kilimanjaro the entire team were so supportive and encouraging. The camp was set up each day by the time we reached our destination, also we had delicious hot meals and appreciated the variety of food options. My favorite were the breakfast crepes, If Kilimanjaro is on your bucket list - book with Sote tours :)

  My experience with this travel firm was fantastic; the planning process was easy from start to finish, and Kelvin is extremely responsive to inquiries and provides a wealth of information on how to prepare for the trip. Everything was meticulously planned, including pick-ups, hotels accommodation in Moshi and briefings before to the climb. The guides Sebastian and Saimon were really knowledgeable and competent; every day, they conducted a medical check to ensure that we were all in good health and that we were taking adequate care of ourselves. They fed us well and supplied us with a wealth of information and motivation to bring us all up the mountain. Locals had a deeper understanding of the mountain, were fantastic ambassadors for their nation, and were just plain entertaining. We will not hesitate to recommend Sote Tours and Travel to organize your future safari travel needs, this is the company you can be confident with to summit Kilimanjaro.

  We had a plan with my fiancé to climb Mount Kilimanjaro because we heard it from our workmate is such an adventurous place. After a long discussion via email and Whatsapp, we booked our trip with Sote Tours & Travel. Thanks to Kelvin for being trustworthy and such an amazing person during the preparation and after leaving the land of Tanzania was very supportive in every aspect of our trip. We did 8 days of hiking through the Lemosho route; we had the most wonderful group of guides, porters, and chef who prepared fantastic meals every day we spent on Mount Kili. Our guides Abel and Simon briefed us every night before we slept about what to expect on the following day and what we should pack, our guides prioritizing our health and safety, and encouraged us when we give up. We’re grateful for the crew we made to Uhuru peak, without the help of them we couldn’t make it. Quality trekking equipment was provided check their website for items to pack, availability of rental gear, and price of each item if you don’t want to carry so much stuff also you’ve got the option to leave your luggage at the hotel if don't need for the trek.   From the first contact until we end up our trip in Tanzania, Kelvin was always replying to email fast within 24 hours and very flexible on every question we asked, all the folks working for Sote Tours made our Kilimanjaro climbing and safari experiences unforgettable. In times of the Covid-19 pandemic, they always provided us with all the information needed and respected the social distance and hygienic measures in every step of the process. The mountain crew wore masks when the distance was not possible and frequently sanitized their hands. We had an amazing team that helped us get up the mountain and all of us to the summit. Before starting the climb we had a briefing which was quite helpful, Karim checked all our gears other members of the group missed few gears like fleece jackets, poncho, balaclavas, gaiters, trekking poles, summit trousers. Before departure in the morning to Lemosho gate we passed to their store for collecting the gears we needed, all rental gears were excellent. We climbed Mt Kilimanjaro via Lemosho route for 8 days, Joseph and Karim are highly professional and experienced guides if you are planning to climb the Kilimanjaro have great knowledge of flora and fauna, ability to stop trekking and start to explain all the doubts you have, and even more that you can’t expect. My fellow members of our group wanted to speed up but Joseph slowed us down, guides always say pole pole which means slowly we are not on a marathon by the way it makes sense if you walk fast you get exhausted, so always follow guides instructions. Our guides had vast experience and could literally walk to the summit in the dark with no flashlight. On summit night we were deeply impressed how the guides and porters motivated us and kept watchful eyes on us up to the summit and every step of the way. Sleeping in a tent is not our daily business, but within 7 days we felt comfortable as we needed experience. The food on the mountain was amazing, hard to believe that the chef (stomach engineer) Ernest was able to prepare on time all three-course meals with just one stove. After descending Kilimanjaro we had a wonderful 4 days safari experience, Safari jeep was clean every morning when Reuben picked us up, the jeep has a pop up roofs and a fridge full of anything you could want, from water to beer and wine. The lodges during safari were very relaxing, sleeping in the luxurious tented lodges was a big relief after 7 days in tents, Put in a bucket list Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater were amazing, our guide Reuben is a passionate and intelligent have eagle eyes to spot animals many times we got so close to the animals, it was amazing and saw so many wild animals including the big 5, thank you Reuben for taking such good care of us and making this experience the best we could ever dream of. Tanzania is a wonderful country for safari and adventure, with places of great beauty and lovely people; we are looking to come back again, thank you for that lifetime experience, we recommend hiring Sote tours for anything in Tanzania that is trustworthy and local Tanzanian company that does it right.

  We arrived night at Kilimanjaro airport very tired after long flight we found a driver waiting for us outside the airport, we were transferred to Moshi everything went so smoothly, without a hitch we had a good night sleep at Kilimanjaro Wonders hotel we slept three nights. The hotel was fantastic don't forget to visit the roof top bar in the evening for views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Sote Tours does have a top notch team, they are very great team and worked together we liked their motivation slogan “One team one goal” we would have never been able to complete the trekking without the adorable support and motivation that our professional guides gave us on the way up, our guides did not push us but just told us to go pole pole which means slowly and drink at least 3 liters of water a day also used pulse-oximeter to confirm our body oxygen saturation twice a day and make sure we’re in the best condition every single day on the mountain. The waiter waking us up in the early hours of the morning with a smile on his face and a cup of coffee which make us motivated. Porters and stomach engineer (chef) were absolute champions we had an amazing time with the whole team. The trip was planned professionally, always on schedule, good quality of tents and all rental gears were in a good condition, all activities were well organized, and not a single thing went wrong during the climb. After Kilimanjaro trekking, we went 3 days safari, our safari guide Mr. Sharif took us to Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater, Sharif is very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. He knew the parks very well because he drove us to places with good animal actions and he can spot animals at very far distance while we used binoculars. The lodges booked a notch higher than what we were expecting. We are vegetarian all the lodges we stayed during safari had nice variety of vegetarian dishes thank you Sote tours for prior information to the lodges about our meal plan before we arrived. Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment that we were picked up airport that night, the lodges’ reservations, our mountain crew and safari guide. Everyone was absolutely wonderful and responsible for their duties; we fully recommend them for anyone who wants to climb Kilimanjaro and safari. Asante sana for unforgettable experience.

  My three friends and I climbed mount Kilimanjaro through Lemosho route for 8 days with Sote Tours in December last year, we had fantastic experience from the first day of arrival at Kilimanjaro airport when we were greeted by Joseph who came to pick us, on the way to hotel Joseph told us the basics of what we would cover the next day before starting our journey up the mountain and other historical stories about Tanzania. Sote tours were quick to respond to our emails and answer all of our questions (we had a lot) they made the process of booking very easy. Before starting the trek our guides Victor and James came to visit us at Panama Garden Resort in Moshi the place we stayed before and after the climb, they briefed and checked our gears which were super nice, our guides were very knowledgeable and good about monitoring our safety (oxygen and heart rate levels) throughout the day. During the evenings after dinner James will brief us on what to plan and expect on the next day. They always left us feeling happy and proud of our accomplishments for the day. Every little detail was effortlessly and perfectly handled. The summit night our guides briefed us well, advised on clothes to put on, snacks to carry etc guides assigned porters per client for summiting which was very reassuring so if anyone needed to take it slower or go down there was someone there who could take you. The guides set such a good pace on how our group preferred to move, responded to feedback on when and how we wanted to summit, advised us well the team helped to motivate us every step of the way up including at times helping carry our day pack, we all got to Uhuru peak, it was a fantastic moment ‘one team one goal’ the spirit that guides had created. Johnson was our cook and always serving cooked fresh delicious meals, best mountain cook ever, the porters are strongest and fittest most important of all the happiest people that I've ever met. We caught a fair amount of rain which was tough but the porters were really helpful with drying off our stuff and getting us in and out of our tents. Throughout this whole experience I must say the customer service was fantastic and satisfied with the company. I cannot say enough positive things about the whole team as each and every one of you are just perfect. I would recommend Sote Tours & Travel to anyone interested in hiking Kilimanjaro.
