We learned a lot from this experience. It was a group setting. The ladies were so helpful and we got dressed in traditional wear. The information was great and the atmosphere was so positive. Highly recommend.

Good experience with authentic kimono and styling to make it feel special. The guide who led the group tea ceremony was knowledgeable and friendly. You should know the tea ceremony had low seats- but you didn’t have to kneel. Something that may be important for folks with bad knees and wasn’t clear from description.

This experience is an absolute must while in Kyoto! Tea making and the associated rituals are some of the most treasured traditions in Japan. They first lead you to a room across the street where skilled stylists transform your hair and put you in beautiful Kimono if you’re a woman (and for males, their traditional attire). They then lead you to a beautiful tea room where they explain the history and guide you through the rituals. Afterward, there is a photo session in the tea room and garden. I felt very welcomed as a solo traveler! What an amazing, culturally enriching experience that was worth every penny!

Great experience that allowed us to take pictures in beautiful kimonos and practice the tea ceremony with a very cheerful animator.
