Embark on a stargazing experience from several Oudtshoorn based guest houses on the outskirts of town which offer clear night skies. These guest houses are: Marriot Riempie Estate, Berluda Farmhouse and Cottages; De Zeekoe Guest Farm; Africamps and Surval Boutique Olive Estate. The stargazing starts from 8pm and times can be contracted as preferred. Guests who have booked accommodation at other guest houses can book supper at any of these stargazing venues and enjoy the stargazing after supper. Alternatively guests can only book the stargazing and arrive at the agreed time. During this experience of the celestial southern hemisphere, you will be introduced to the most prominent Stars, Galaxies, Globular Clusters, Constellations and Planets visible.

5.00My 18 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed this activity. Our guide Alan was very informative and told us some entertaining Greek Mythology tales about the constellations. I feel pretty confident that I can now point out the Southern Cross and the Scorpion!

5.00From the moment I booked for the experience all went smoothly. Lynette contacted me to confirm the weather for our outing. On Sunday morning she confirmed all is well. She arrived at our guesthouse. The experience was absolutely fantastic. Her knowledge and telescope was amazing. She is a lovely friendly lady. We will be back in September/October. Thank you for an experience of lifetime.

5.00We had an amazing weekend in Oudtshoorn,but the highlight of the trip was definitely the stargazing tour. Our guide while being extremely friendly and passionate, was very well equipped and knowledgeable . This definitely enticed our interest in astronomy. Highly recommended

5.00My fiancée and I have never done stargazing before, so this was an exciting new experience for us both! The guide was very friendly and talkative which made the stargazing even better! The guide thought us a lot about the fascinating stars, galaxies, planets, constellations and globular clusters. If you find yourself in the Little Karoo, in Oudtshoorn, this is a MUST! Will recommend it to everyone!
