Experience majestic blue pools, stunning, swirling moulins, deep crevasses and dramatic ice formations that continue to fascinate and attract the explorer in all of us when you step foot and trek around the surface of the Knik Glacier. The mighty Knik, one of the largest glaciers left in Southcentral Alaska, is 26 miles in length and 6 miles across at its toe and is just one of several glaciers in the ancient river valley.
In addition to spotting wildlife from the air (moose, dall sheep, spawning salmon, and bears), you’ll have an eagle’s eye view of towering waterfalls, glacial iceberg-filled lakes, and the untouched wilderness of the Alaska backcountry.

CHECK IN TIME is 30 minutes prior to departure time. If you arrive late your excursion may be shortened, cancelled or rescheduled.
Weight limit is 300 pounds per seat. R44 max weight is 650 pounds. R66 max weight is 900 pounds.
Service animals are allowed on a case by case basis. Call to inquire.
Accuratly reporting weight is essential for proper weight and balance of the helicopter. Large discrepancies in reported weights may result in additional fees.
Solo Travelers: Please note that we may reach out to reschedule your time if a 2 person minimum is not met.
WEIGHT SURCHARGES: Groups of 2 over 500lbs, groups of 3 over 650lbs and groups of 4 over 900lbs will be charged a weight surcharge. You can call 907-351-6736 to pay the additional weight surcharge within 48 hours of making the reservation. If weight surcharge not paid, we cannot guarantee extra aircraft will be available and flight may be rescheduled or canceled without a refund.
Groups of 4+ may be split into multiple helicopters
Infants are defined as 0-24 months. Children at or over 24 months will need to be in a paid seat. This is a FAA regulation and not a suggestion

5.00Outstanding, the best helicopter tour I have ever taken. They are friendly, informative, and make sure you are safe and enjoying the experience. I was staying downtown but used Uber to/from the starting point and it worked out well (just make sure to pre-schedule the return ride).

5.00There aren't enough stars for this experience! Definitely worth every penny we paid. We were picked up as scheduled from our Anchorage hotel in a comfortable van with a very personable driver. Upon our arrival in Palmer, we were greeted by friendly staff who prepared us for what was to come. Then it was off to the Knik Glacier with our pilot, Christine. She had an uncanny ability to spot wildlife like bears, mama moose with their babies, eagles in a nest, and lots of Dall sheep. We landed on the glacier next to a gorgeous glacial pool. The bear claws they provided for our boots made walking on the ice easy, and Christine was always there to ensure our safety. The ride back to the heliport was ... I won't spoil the surprise. Suffice to say, Top Gun has nothing on Christine! Definitely take this tour!

5.00Outbound Heli was fantastic. Highly recommend flying with them. Very informative and skilled pilot. Glacier viewing and hike was absolutely amazing. Like nothing you have seen before. Followed by gazing over Alaskan landscapes and canyons with various animals like moose and mountain sheep below. Must do on a bucket list!!

5.00We had a great time on our Helicopter tour and our pilot Logan was supper knowledgeable. Landing on the glacier is amazing. Walking around in the ice feels so surreal.
