Mt. Rokko
Mount Rokko (六甲山, Rokkōsan, 931 meters) is the highest peak in the Rokko mountain range, which provides the pleasant green backdrop to the city of Kobe. Panoramic views of the heavily urbanized Hanshin region (Kobe and Osaka) can be enjoyed from the mountain and are particularly spectacular around sunset.
Shin-Kobe Trail
Shin-Kobe Ropeway (新神戸ロープウェー) is one of three services that lifts tourists up the southern slopes of the Rokko mountain chain. The ropeway departs from next to Shin-Kobe Station, Kobe's shinkansen station. As it ascends, it passes by the Nunobiki Waterfall and the Nunobiki Herb Garden, giving a nice aerial view of both. The highlight of the ride lies in the observation deck located just beside the top station, which offers spectacular views of Kobe and is a popular night view spot.

5.00We had a great time with Mesa in Kobe. He met us right at the cruise terminal and made the entire day easy and enjoyable from the start. One of the highlights was the visit to the Herb Garden. The setting is beautiful, set up in the hills with sweeping views over Kobe and the harbor. The gardens are thoughtfully laid out, with a wide variety of herbs, flowers, and seasonal plantings. Walking through the different sections felt calm and immersive, and the cable car ride up added to the experience with incredible views along the way. Mesa also took us through the Kobe area and then to an outstanding lunch. The Kobe teppanyaki experience was exceptional, both in quality and presentation, and clearly something he had carefully selected. Mesa was organized, personable, and clearly knew how to pace the day. We never felt rushed, and everything flowed naturally. A very well planned and enjoyable tour. Highly recommended.

5.00We had a great time with Micky, our guide while visiting Kobe. She was very informative of the history of the city, helpful and accommodating to our needs. We didn’t feel rushed and kept the tour at our pace.. We highly recommend her.

5.00Having a private tour guide is quite convenient for us matured folks. It gave us more leeway to space out our itinerary. Harumi was gentle, polite, and very instructive in showing us the places we booked for the tour. We had fun in the Ropeway experience. She was also very knowlegeable with the history of the Sake Brewery, the Shrine and was kind enough to show us where to get the free shuttle bus in Chinatown that will take us back to our cruise ship, Ovations of the Seas docked in Kobe port terminal.

5.00Our tour guide Harumi was absolutely fabulous. We went to many places as we could in our 6 hour private tour. We really liked the Saki Museum! Harumi explained each site well and in our travel from one site to the next, she talked about Japan. It was so educational. If you get to chose Harumi go for it!
Kobe with Yama

5.00Yama was our guide and he was great....zipping us to various places in the city, that would have taken us ages to figure out and get to. It was so great to have him explain different unique cultural insights and help us experience Kobe to the max. Was definitely one of our favorite places in Japan

5.00Our personal guide took us to a really nice garden and a view of the city from up high and then Chinatown where we had Kobe beef. Fantastic piece of meat!

5.00Minus the small hiccup we had with emails the tour was great. Before the meetup (during the email phase) i had no plan what i wanted to visit and he provided a few recommendations (with site links in english). Meetup in person was a tad confusing but we can mark that as a user error, since we meet up at the station instead of the hotel. We visited: - Kiku-Masamune sake brewery (9/10) - Akashi Kaikyo bridge (8/10) (plan ahead when the bridge is open for foot traffic) - Nunobiki Herb Garden (5/10) (off-season, visit when roses bloom, biggest letdown of the 4 options, not a lot of info provided by guide) - ChinaTown (8/10) Yama-san was knowledgeable about most of the locations and his english was good, I would recommend him)

5.00We got the 4-hour kobe tour. Our tour guide, Yoshii Kenichi, at 68yo, was not only energrtic but passionate enough to share with us a bit of japan's history before the start of our tour.
Thanks to Harumi a great day was had

5.00We had a marvellous guide & driver. Harumi was our guide and she made the tour for us. Her sense of humour, her passion for her city and her knowledge was fantastic. From the Harbour Tower to Chinatown, from the old town to Kobe Ropeway, Harumi had it all. We finished with a true sushi restaurant and then on to a sake brewery. A lovely day thank you Harumi. We would not hesitate to recommend Harumi as a guide. And besides that we had a lovely BMW 840d to chauffeur us around.
