  We, a group of 5 men in our 50's, did two tours with Kazakhstan Guided Tours in the month of October 2025. The first one - Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes with Charyn Canyon a 2-day tour & the second one Big Almaty Lake day tour. We had a very good experience right from the initial stages of my inquiry with Aruzhan (who was assigned to my query). She was patient and prompt in answering all of my questions. Let me first talk about our 1st tour : We had Naz(Nazerke) as our tour guide and what an excellent guide she is. Knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. I would like to share an incident, on our night stop in an Yurt in Kurmeti, we ran out of drinking water and it was very late at night. But we had to get water which was in our tour van. With great courage we messaged and then called Naz for the same, because she had the keys to the van. Naz, at that odd hour answered our call and helped us get the water bottles from the van. This is the level of dedication, sincerity and willing to help attitude Naz showed. Thank you Naz. Kazakhstan Guided Tours you have a gem in your team. Overall, our Kolsai, Kaindy Lakes and Charyn Canyon tour was fantastic and our overnight stay in the traditional YURT was an experience of its kind. Highly recommended this tour. Our second tour was to Big Almaty Lake. I highly recommend Kazakhstan Guided Tours if you don't want to do the long hike to BAL. They have a tie up with local cab operators who take you all the way to BAL. You only need to walk for a km or so from the tourist visit center at Ayusay and from there you are picked up by the local operators, which have a special permission to do so. It is an half day tour where you get enough time at BAL to look around, go close to the lake (not very close) and take plenty of pictures. On the way back you stop at the First President Park. BAL, is also highly recommended. The views are to die for. Overall, we had an awesome time on both of our tours with them. Their prices are competitive, they have good tour guides and patient enough to answer all your queries. I highly recommend Kazakhstan Guided Tours. Thank you 😊

  

  

• Good memory at Almaty

  This tour is perfect for visiting beautiful places in Almaty. Our guide is doing great, showing us the beautiful spot, take some photo for us as well. We did build good memories together and enjoy the scenery. The group size is great as well not too crowded.

  

  

  

• Great 2 Days of Lakes + Canyons w Yurt Experience

  Great 2 days tour, just enough time for each attractions without the rush. 1st day was average since it's winter and the lakes are frozen over. Stayed in a yurt (recommended for the special experience). It was a cold and hot throughout the night. When we entered, it was cold, there's floor heating but barely kept the yurt warm as its too cold outside. After dinner, they started the fire and hot air came thru the duct / heater to the yurt making it hot in the middle of the nite, had to change cooler clothes for comfortable sleep. The fire died in the wee hours turning the yurt cold again. The modern toilet and shower are in a separate building are clean and well maintained. Yes, you would need to walk in the cold in between the restroom and your yurt. Towel and disposable toothbrush provided but need to bring your own shampoo and shower gel. 2nd day was the highlight. Thanks to our guide, Zhenis's recommendation to take the horse ride (additional fee) at Kaindy Lake. Although the lake is frozen over the overall winter view with snow at that place was magical. Charyn canyon is also magnificent, recommend to take the ride back with a small fee. Do bring some Kaz money in small notes if possible as change might be challenging. Also, as the snow may turn the ground icy and slippery, footwear w good traction / adding spikes to the footwear are recommended. Kaz food is a bit bland for ppl not used to central asian food and beef is normally served. Opt for vegan if you do not take beef. Taste for kaz food is ok for me only comment is wished that dinner was served hot instead of cold. Lunch was great, warm food lots of sweets, biscuits, dough and dried fruits. The vehicle we travelled in was confortable, water provided for both days. Driver also drive safely throughout the entire trip.

  Pleasant trip with tour guide Luba. Very wholesome meals and good accommodation. They are knowledgeable and experienced, able to stick to timeline and adjust to weather. The driver was also efficient and provided us a comfortable van ride.

  I had an amazing experience with this tour and I truly recommend it to anyone visiting. I booked the 2 days, 1 night package, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The service was excellent, and the staff were very caring and professional. The food was incredibly delicious, every meal exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend going with guide Zhenis. He manages time and the group very well, is punctual, friendly, and always helpful. The best part is that he brings a drone, so you can ask him to film you for a very reasonable price and get beautiful, high-quality videos to keep as memories. The accommodation was beautiful with an amazing view, and I really loved staying there. Overall, I was super impressed and would definitely recommend this tour to other travelers.   Highly recommended this tour as compared to the 1 day tour, pacing was good, and our guide Serzhan helped to facilitate things well and looked out for us along the way. Views and sights on the tour are unreal, and we got enough time to explore each location without feeling rushed.

  Absolutely loved the Kolsai, Kaindy Lakes & Charyn Canyon tour. Everything was smooth, well organized, and professionally run from start to finish. Our guide Serzh was a standout; super knowledgeable, informative, and great at adapting to everyone’s needs in the group.   This is definitely a must-do activity when visiting Kazakhstan. Every place we visited was incredibly beautiful and something I could never find back home. The two days were filled with fun, and I truly felt connected to nature throughout the trip.
