After a 3 minute boat ride from the harbor, you’ll enter the water and float on the surface while holding onto our custom-built light board. The powerful 150,000+ lumen dive lights attract plankton, which in turn draw in majestic manta rays that glide and feed just inches below you. It’s a breathtaking, up-close experience guided by our professional team, including a licensed captain, swim guide, and certified lifeguard. Water time is approximately 20 to 40 minutes depending on various situations ocean conditions, etc. *Statistically the later at night you go the more manta rays and the more time we have the manta rays increases significantly! The earlier you go, very crowded, making it harder to get manta rays must know how to swim and be comfortable in open ocean conditions. Wetsuits & lifejackets are optional rentals and can be arranged. Free masks and snorkels are provided, or you may bring your own.

5.00Greg, Koa, and Dylan were great crew! This tour was amazing and we saw so many manta rays. Once in a lifetime experience. This was nice since it was a 3 minute boat ride and about an hour total, versus some of the other options which make it 2-2.5hrs round trip. If you’re prone to motion sickness I’d recommend taking something for the short ride back since after being in the water I felt a little woozy. Easy check in and wetsuit rental (cash or venmo). Thanks for making our trip to the Big Islad unforgettable!

5.00The whole experience was EPIC. We saw 5 manta rays they came up to our illuminated board, swimming in a peaceful manner, playful, curious and calm. Our guides were very helpful, informative, and knowledgeable. We felt safe. Highly recommended!!

5.00Fantastic! Class act from the entire team. Would do it again in a heartbeat. A short 3-minute boat ride to the spot...We must have seen 50 manta rays, non-stop, up close and personal. I'm a certified advanced scuba diver, and this was awesome! Ya' gotta do this while in Kona. We're locals, and I'll do it every time we have guests visiting!

5.00Captain Cook Bay is THE place to snorkel so make it a priority in your visit. We traveled w Jake and Captain Shaka (Mark) who are not only funny and is it going but very knowledgeable and kind. The equipment was good for pineapple treats afterwards were yummy. Really great trip overall!

5.00Omg this was one of the most amazing experiences. I highly suggest you fo with this comoany. Everyone is super chilled and nice. I love that it was onky a 3minute trip out to sea versus some of the others beinga 1/2hr, if you get sea sick definitely go with this one. We took our 4 kids ages 8 to 19. We also seen a SHARK in the depths below. The crew was well educated and very helpful with everything even though we got a mix up in our reservation. Very accommodating and 100% worth the money..... this is a MUST DO!!!
Good Ocean Experience But Expect LONG Delays

4.00The ocean experience was wonderful. The boat crews were very nice and helpful. Saw lots of fish and manta rays. However, this business operates by being the lowest cost provider and overbooking. And they are bad at respecting your time and evening plans. As a result, many of us ended up waiting in a dark parking lot for over an hour, and totally messed up dinner and sleeping time. ---> So, if you don't mind your evening plans and want to save money, this is the operator for you. Once you are actually on the boat, it was a fun experience. Otherwise, I wish I had been aware of this fact before booking and considered other tour operators who respected my booking time.
