Captain Cook Snorkel Tour! Skip the crowded tourist boats with 30 to 80 people and join our small-group snorkel tour aboard a Navy-style Zodiac RIB speed boat. We’ll take you on a fast, scenic ride to Kealakekua Bay, home of the Captain Cook Monument and some of the clearest, most vibrant coral reef snorkeling on the Big Island. Explore sea caves, coves along the rugged Kona coastline—places larger boats can’t access. You may even spot dolphins, whales, or other marine wildlife along the way (wildlife sightings are NOT guaranteed). Your tour includes snorkel mask & snorkel, pineapple and water. Wetsuits and lifejackets are available for rent at check-in if desired. Our crew will guide you every step of the way, ensuring comfort, safety, and a memorable experience. ⏱️ Tour duration is approximately 2–3 hours (2.5 hours on average), but can vary depending on ocean conditions, snorkeling time, and wildlife activity. Come explore the Big Island coast with us—the local way, without the crowds.

Koa and Lucas were very attentive and informative! We had an amazing snorkeling experience especially for our first time. We were on our way back to dock until they were dolphin sightings, and they turned back around just so we can see them, which was a bonus for us!! Loved the trip! Worth every penny. Also loved their commentary :) very nice people. 10/10 recommend

We have done this type of adventure in other areas. Unfortunately the boat was so so small for all of the people, the ride was VERY ROUGH. They provide very small bottle of water and a few pieces of pineapple. We did not see many fish and 0 dolphins. We asked for a different mask for visibility and were told no because it was new. We typically do not leave poor reviews but thus experience could be so much better with a larger boat. We woke up sore in the morning from all of the wave bouncing.

Great snorkeling in small group, great mask and snorkel, had to pay extra for fins. But lower overall cost than other snorkeling tours. Daniela was a great captain and her partner "Jack" (not sure of his name) was wonderful too. Great story telling and helped me get back in boat, with my foot injury I was worried, but it was no problem!

Great experience on this small, fast boat. The crew were efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Great snorkle in calm bay. Would recommend without hesitation.

Be prepared for a wild ride on a Zodiac. LOTS of fun. Snorkeling is just so-so, but overall a fun and great experience and lots of cool things to learn about and see. Staff was great.

We had a great snorkeling experience around the reef near Captain Cook‘s monument. There were lots of fish and we had almost an hour in the water. The boat crew was fun and knowledgeable. There was delicious pineapple when we got back in the boat. We also saw several sea caves along the return trip. We wanted a small group experience and this fit that well. The boat ride out was a speedy one with a lot of bouncing. Fun for my kids in their 20s, less fun for me. We were happy to support a local, small business. There are a few things they The check-in experience and finding our boat(very small) was tricky. Signage and directions were unclear. More info or branding would be really helpful.

We've done the party boats which are 100 dollars more per person and at the end of the day, you've got a ton of elbows and too many drunk a-holes which takes away from the experience. The smaller boat offered a less crowded experience and it also opened the door for more opportunity to explore the coast line. We drove up to a few historical lava tubes and sacred sites along the way. Our Captain Danielle was very thorough and offered some outstanding historical summation. I would only do this tour when visiting again.

A very enjoyable afternoon with Captain Danielle and Tour Guide Jake! The array of sea life we saw was endless! The reef was stunning. Danielle and Jake were knowledgeable and we learned much for them about the history of the island. Such a fun trip for everyone in my family.

Very worthwhile. Saw lots of dolphibs in the water. Water was beautiful and the boat caprain and helper work very informative

Timing of the 8:00 trip was perfect. It allowed us to be the first boat in the bay so calm waters and not many people. Koa our guide was fantastic!
